I think there are permits everywhere cos I paid 50k and extra 3k on site cos the site supervisor forgot to carry the receipt along with him... Community boys came to seize tools so, he had to call their chairman or whatever he is... He spoke with the boys and they dropped the tools but razzled out 3k from us, then left...

I believe by permit he/she is referring to government tax/payment not omo oníle etc

There’s fence permit in Oyo state.

State land = N1,000 x Plot area / MF


Freehold = N3,000 x Plot area / MF


I cannot remember their multiplying factor (MF). It was 540m² in 2022

What necessitated this is that some people just want to fence their land without building any structure on it. Such people have to apply for a permit like those applying for a building permit (actual construction).

For the Channels, importing it as 40ft will be challenging. It won’t go into the standard 40ft container cos the doors won’t close.

So it would require a special kind of container or packed in open vessels. These are very expensive shipping methods used especially for shipping heavy equipment and other bulky items .

At the end of the day, it comes down to cost and consumers behavior, prompting importation of alternative and cost effective ones.
