The Nigerian music industry is so saturated; filled with the good, the bad and the ugly. With the money, fame and glamorous life the music stars boast of, everybody gets tempted to do music too. Studios are all over the places, upcoming artistes in all genres keep swarming the industry, and the competition keeps getting stiffer and more stiffer. Drop a hit song today, and another hit song displaces it tomorrow. It is that strong a competition. Perhaps, you also want to join the bandwagon and do music and become a great artiste in the industry. Follow these practical steps religiously, and you'd definitely become the next big thing in the industry.

BE VERY TALENTED AND SKILLFUL

In an industry filled with a lot of mediocre minds, talent and a refined, nurtured and groomed skill will stand you out from others. If you aren't talented, Please don't do music. Don't! And then, music talent is divided into 2 places: the vocals,  and the composition. Even a rapper needs a good vocal - and that will be your voice, flow, audibility et al. Most people don't have problems with the vocals... it's the composition/music making that's issue. How well can you input melody into lyrics? If you can't, you might have to hire someone who can. Something weird about melody making is that it can't be learnt or taught, it's either you have it in you or you don't. However, it can be developed with practice often and often.

UNIQUENESS OR WITH THE CROWD?

Which best works for you? Being unique or doing what everybody does? If you believe in yourself enough to stick to your style that's not so commercial or common, you can always go ahead. But...... Check complete on:
