One more reason why I love Nigerian Army.
But @op can't you go out to take pictures instead of staying in your car to take pictures cheesy
I guess the headline would have been "Op and a danfo driver being disciplined by a millitary man" grin grin grin

Great

1. I guess you are driving a Nissan Xterra SUV (fairly used) grin
2. The scene was such an entertaining one cos (what does this word mean?) even his passengers said they told him to follow the queue peaceful but he refused.

HE IS NOT DRIVING. HE IS A PASSENGER IN THE MIDDLE BENCH SITTING BY THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE FRONT SEAT! grin cheesy

This happened this morning around Apapa Area while descending towards leventis, the Nigerian military and other agency were trying to control the traffic on the bridge by giving way for smaller vehicle to go through when this Danfo driver came from nowhere and started obstructing traffic, leaving the queue that was created by the task force.

He was already causing traffic when we eventually allowed him to enter in front of us, A one military officer came and told him park and then roll on the floor from the bridge down to Area B police station. cheesy grin

The scene was such an entertaining one cos even his passengers said they told him to follow the queue peaceful but he refused.

I wish to use this medium to commend the Nigerian Military and the joint task force for the good work they are doing in other to ease traffic in Apapa

To all Danfo drivers please always respect your self, Obey traffic rules and stayy out of troubles.

Cc Lalasticlala

What happened to fine or arrest? Must he bully him... the whole Nigeria Army is a disgrace.. I wonder what they will do to people if America sells weapon to us

Force is the only disciplinary language we nigerians understand. Anything short of applying brute force wont stop us from breaking the law again
Re: What A Military Man Did To A Danfo Driver Today In Apapa (Photos) by Suntemi(m): 11:26am On Aug 26, 2015
Op is justifying the act of the soldier and feeling entertained that a man is humiliating another man just because he feels he is more superior. This man on the floor could be a father and brother to some people and here you are very happy that he is been asked to roll on the floor by another man. We act like slaves in this country. Are there no traffic laws and penalties in this country again.

No wonder some think Nigeria is a zoo. While I don't support breaking traffic rules, I think the punishment is just too barbaric.

ive been at a jucntion before barely wide enough for two cars to pass. You wont believe a danfo driver still stopped to pick up passengers at the bottle neck of the junction. Not a quick pick and drop (as if that one is even right) but actually waiting.

There was a policeman at the junction who feigned ignorance.
Other drivers were blaring their horn for this animal to move, guess what he did? He waved his hand that the cars behind him should pass on an almost non existent road due to his blockage and oncoming vehicles.

Managed to get beside him, my younger bro was sat on the passengers seat. When the danfo driver brought his head out of the window towards my bro, he used the bottom of his palm slipper to tear the danfo drivers face.

That was one perfect moment i will never forget. Need i say the sound of that slap still remains one of the loudest i ever heard in my life!

Na so Danfo driver begin pursue us with danfo o.
He wasnt even speeding like he wanted to follow us to our destination and let all hell loose.

Me ke i just drove till i got to one street that had a cross bar preventing vehicles such as his being able to pass, turned out to look at his face as i drove off laughing my head to a migraine, the guy was red, not sure if it was the slap or the anger of losing out that got to him.

Point of this, anyone who says the officer is wrong has never driven in Lagos traffic before.

As i type this im looking at my neighbors ash colored 2012 Honda accord, near pristine condition...front fender has a dent with signature yellow streak on most cars in Lagos.

Do you know how the yellow gets on the cars?

Though the law States that defaulters should be lambasted but I despise the way at which our military punish people. Handling and abusing people in the name of "THEY ARE BLOODY CIVILIANS".

in developed nations, you as a military can't start brutalising or bully you because they are feared or appears stronger than you due to the fact that they are under the umbrella of certain immunity.

My Brother if u stay in lagos den u would knw that these Danfo drivers deserve even more dan wat he got. Hav u ever been embarrassed by a Danfo driver b4. Mtceww we need to commend the military here.

...could be a father brother to somebody, of course no doubt he didnt fall from the skies.
However respect begets respect.

Please what was so difficult in him just behaving himself and staying on the line, just like his passengers advised? You think hes the only one in a hurry abi?

If he goes you believe other motorists will stay in line and not further mess up the entire arrangement so everyone can get out of the traffic situation?

So the officer should have given him a ticket for driving like that abi?

You obviously dont know the psyche of the people youre defending.

When you buy your car and drive in Lagos come back after one month and repeat what you wrote here.

Sometimes Nigerians needs iron fist. it is very annoying that some people choose not to abide by the law.

We need more education than Job in this country.

One thing u need to understand frm my post is that if u respect ur self, people will respect u. Is lik driving without licence and u expect road safety nt to embarrass u. If one the driver had stayed on d queue, dis wouldn't have happened.
