pazienza: So based on this one (probably concoted) story, the whole of Igboland made a decision to hate Buhari? This write up is obviously one negative campaign strategies adopted by PDP just before the election. It was still harping on certificate forgery campaigns against Buhari. It veered off point to whip up emotional sentiments on unequal cut off marks for unity schools. The writer who i suspect is Igbo could not even spell Buhari right. Now tell me how many voters read this story before deciding to hate Buhari? are you telling 95% of Igbos read and believed this story? Buhari has nothing to prove, you guys have already labelled him as an illiterate, terrorist, religious and ethnic bigot, i doubt there is anything he can do or say that will change your minds. The onus is on you people to discuss and reconcile your differences amicably, further exasperating the situation would not be in the interest of the Igbos (at least during his reign as president). I recommend "The Prince" by Machiavelli and 48 laws of power by Robert Greene for every Igbo leader and politician to understand how to play the game of power. 1 Like 1 Share |

wirinet: How has Buhari treated the few Igbos that stood with him, the Ogbonnnaya onu, the Ngige of this world? You stylishly circumvented that question. Buhari is incapable of rising above sectional and parochial interests. The Peter onu story is true and not a propaganda. |
Re: Buhari’s Appointments Unacceptable To Ndigbo – Ohaneze Youth Council by wirinet(m): 8:45am On Aug 29, 2015 |
pazienza: The keyword here is "few". Only 5% of Igbos supported Buhari. You can see from Buhari's body language (and verbal too) that is he pained that only 5% igbos supported him. Not not 20% or even 10%, but only 5%. Don't worry, the "few" igbos that supported him would bet ministerial or other appointments. Ngige and Ogbonnaya Onu would definitely get ministerial appointments. The problem i see is that Igbos might not get favours from the Buhari administration if you people do not quickly reconcile your differences with him.
This just confirms what i said earlier, you mind is already made up, There is nothing Buhari can do to change your mind. Then provide a collaborating link or source to this Peter Onu story. Also where is Onu's own version and other involved parties. A jugde cannot find a person guilty based on one side of the story. |

When PMB appointed NNPC Boss the complain was he is not Igbo enough, When he appointed IRS Boss the complain was his certificate is fake, now he appointed 3 muslims, 3 christians giving minorities some voice the complain is North vs South. People forget that Buhari is still maintaining IG of Police, CBN governor among other heads of parastatals that are southerners. May be we are destined to be doomed. May be this is who we are as a people and thats why Nigeria is retrogressing. We are such backward thinkers and degenerative minds full of hate. Its unfortunate though to say the least. |

pazienza: If Ngige had been elected, it would have been a standing battle between Saraki and Ngige since they both were first elected into the Senate in 2011. Saraki was never the choice of the APC for Senate president for starters. But looking at it like this: No Igbo legislator under the current set is qualified to even vie for the position let alone be selected as one already made it alright for Saraki to win. Think about it. |

MadCow1: You make no sense. You mean Ekweremadu should have let the Arewa-Odua have their way? Lol! Ekweremadu did well puting a wedge between the Arewa-Odua and 're writing their political script. That is political sophistication at work. You are retarded if you think the Arewa-Odua elements in APC, would have allowed the emergence of an Igbo, when they were already fighting each other over the post. Ekweremadu simply took advantage of the Odua-Arewa power tussle to displace the odua. *grins Nwata na ebu uzo gaa ije tupu ogbawa oso. Let the APC first reward Ngige with juicy appointment post, so that we can access if they would have made him the Senate president. pazienza: I stopped arguing this 'You are not igbo' a long time ago.. You and I are two different breeds of Igbos. You think differently and I think differently and hold different values. Just because a person does not worship Ojukwu and chant Biafra everytime does not stop that person from being who they are by birth. Agukwu Nri is my village, it does not get more Igbo than that: Nigga ju ese.. Ekweremadu that you said was fought by the APC still got the vote of confidence from the same house with majority APC lawmakers. Okorocha is the strongest Igbo man in the APC party and he is Governor of his state. If the 'real Igbos' feel this way about the APC, why then are you seeing positions in a Government you don't support? Nwokem, gerarahia for reel men shiii.. You can't eat your cake and have. The Igbo can foolishly stick to that mushroom party called APGA and keep crying about marginalisation or they can get long spoons and start dining with the devil and use the wit we are known for to get what we want. |
Re: Buhari’s Appointments Unacceptable To Ndigbo – Ohaneze Youth Council by MadCow1: 10:15am On Aug 29, 2015 |
pazienza: Well Ekweremadu's stunt may lose him the seat. I doubt the house would have made a Yoruba man deputy senate speaker with Dogora in the lower house and Saraki as the Speaker.. I too await to see what happens to Ngige. I don't see him becoming a minister especially if President Buhari plans to use Technocrats for Ministers. I am still observing. I feel Ngiges best shot was lost when he lost the elections. |
Re: Buhari’s Appointments Unacceptable To Ndigbo – Ohaneze Youth Council by pazienza(m): 10:28am On Aug 29, 2015 |
MadCow1: Taa gbafuo! APC members didn't purposely vote for Ekweremadu, their hands were forced, they had internal party divisions and Saraki division needed Ekweremadu led PDP senators support to emerge victorious. It was a deal. When the going went tough, saraki sought Ekweremadu support, that's the advantage those that stand their ground and with their people will always command respect and influence even from their political enemies, while efulefus like Onu and Ngige will get nothing but neglect and scorn from the outsiders they chose to pitch their net with. I don't know what went wrong in Imo, but I believe after 4years, Okorocha will go the way of Amaechi, his APC candidate will be soundly disgraced. You were never Igbo, you forgot all too well that you once admitted being from Ogba in Rivers state, you are right, you don't need to dwell on the I am Igbo, I am not Igbo drama. It had long been settled. |

Re: Buhari’s Appointments Unacceptable To Ndigbo – Ohaneze Youth Council by pazienza(m): 10:56am On Aug 29, 2015 |
MadCow1: Well , nothin will happen, Buhari is running a Northern government, Saraki is a fulani northerner, his kinsman for that matter. We have heard the last of the Senate president tussle, the Odua losing out is no concern of Buhari. I believe you are from Ogba, while Agu ukwu nri is either where you married from or your maternal hometown But of the fact that you are from Ogba Rivers state, I have no iota of doubt about that. Anyway, I personally consider Ogba as part and parcel of Igbo land, because of pro Igbo tendencies of proud Igbo men of Ogba origin like Ogbuehi francis Ellah, the now late Eze Ogba. But the fact is that most Ogba people are Igbophobic in outlook, as can be testified by your constantly anti Igbo comments on this forum, right from the days of onlytruth. Your people even went as far as changing the title Eze Ogba to Oba of Ogba, just to run away from Igbo tag, how pathetic can that be? As close as Igbanke in Edo state is to Bini, the Igbanke people still retained their Eze title, but Ogba that is in no way close to Edo made up frivolous history stories linking them to Bini, and went on to add salt to injury by changing the name of their monarch from Eze to Oba. I have no problem with a proud Igbo man with pro Igbo outlook from Ogba identifying as Igbo, Eze Ogbuehi Ellah of Ogba was pro Igbo throughout his life, and Ndiigbo never ceased to honour him, he even represented Ndiigbo in a national conference 1999, but I have a big problem with a clearly Igbophobic Ogba Man, whose comments are always Igbophobic claiming Igbo. |

4) Igbanke is made up of six (6) autonomous clans: Ake/Obiogba, Idumu-Odin, Igbontor, Oligie, Omolua and Ottah. These clans were governed by traditional rulers called ‘’Eze or Obi’’. These terms were of Ika origin, but have been forcefully changed to ‘’Enogie’’ a Bini term by the conquering Binis. 5) Our ancestral heritage like language, names and beliefs are being systematically destroyed by the domineering power of the Binis. ARGUMENTS IN SUPPORT OF ISSUES RAISED 1)Most Igbanke indigenes who have Ika ancestral names like, “Emeka”, “Maduka”, “Chukwuka’’, “Chinyere”, “Amaka and “Ogorchukwu etc are often confronted with all forms of harrowing experiences when there are needs to visit our council headquarters, Abudu to process one official documents or the other. We are often denied the issuance of documents like, ‘’Certificate of Local Government of origin’’, Protest Letter’’, To Whom it May Concern’’ etc on the guise that we are Igbos not Binis. https://naijadebate./2014/12/10/a-thread-on-the-history-of-the-igbanke-people-of-edo-state/ Well, they say they are not Igbos, but atleast their original names and traditional titles says other wise, and they want those names and titles back, while Ogba decided to throw away her traditional Eze title for Oba. |

On the Saraki's issue, Ndiigbo had always maintained that Saraki is a fulani man whose fulani ancestors conquered Ilorin and have been ruling the Yoruba natives there ever since. It was the Yorubas in a typical Stockholm syndrome and "attache" by force that have been claiming that Saraki is a Yoruba man, ever since they( Yorubas) lost out in the power tussle of the NASS, to their Arewa masters. |

pazienza: This is a project by one student in a university! And you chose to believe it, without checking if his comments were factual or if he cited any sources to corroborate his statements! Jeez! In your previous response which I quoted, you did NOT even say that Enogie was one of the kingship titles among the Igbanke. You made it seem as if Eze was the sole title of their kings! I have given you a source which is a website put together by adult members of an entire community, who have formed themselves into a union. Is Enogie an Igbo word? And why do some of the Enogies bear Edo names? |

pazienza: Why do you find it difficult to put forward balanced arguments? Your post makes it seem as if the Eze and Obi title is the de facto title of all the Igbanke kings or village heads. So how come a whole Igbanke town union did not acknowledge this so-called fact? And how come the title of Enogie is more prominent in Igbanke than that of Eze? And why do those Enogies have Edo names? Not only that, names like Omorodion, Irabor, Uwaifo are also very prominent among Igbanke sons and daughters. So stop presenting a one-sided story, biko nu! When has anything about Buhari ever become acceptable to the SE? His contest for the primaries was unacceptable, his victory at the primaries was unacceptable, his contest for the presidency was unacceptable, his eventual triumph to become the president up until recently was unacceptable. So it is quiet strange to expect goodies from what was rejected ab initio. Reward is the product of wise investment. As business gurus, the SE should know that. A business abandoned yields no profit. 1 Like |

laudate: There is no one side of the story, Enogie only exists in some Igbanke clans because the Edo had been forcefully trying to assimilate the people, the original Igbanke word for King is Eze or Obi, Enogie is a result of Bini forceful occupation and attempt at assimilation of the area. 4) Igbanke is made up of six (6) autonomous clans: Ake/Obiogba, Idumu-Odin, Igbontor, Oligie, Omolua and Ottah. 2) Those who have the likes of the Ika aforementioned names, but can speak Bini language are rarely subjected to the above embarrassments and discriminations. This act goes a long way to vindicate our fear that there is a subtle, but carefully planned agenda to make us lose and abandon our ancestral linguistic and cultural heritage. 3) In order to escape from these unnecessary embarrassments, some have no other option left than to change their identity from Ika to Bini names. This is why we have Igbanke's with Bini names and Bini titles today. It was as a result of Bini forceful assimilation of the people. |

pazienza: Your errors have been pointed out but you are still recycling the same one-sided story you quoted from your source. The Igbanke people have Enogies as their kings. They may have been named Eze or Obi in the past, but right now their titles are Enogie, which are Bini titles. Fact! Igbanke sons and daughters bear both Edo and Igbo names, not just Igbo names like you are trying to portray here. Fact! Their rulers or Enogie bear Edo names! Fact! So stop telling a one-sided story, that is skewed to fit your biased mind. |

laudate: Not all Igbanke clans have their leader with the Enogie title, some retained their Eze title- Fact. Enogie title was forced on Igbanke by Edos and the people wish to revert back to their original Eze and Obi titles- Fact The presence of Bini names amongst Igbankes is as a result of forceful assimilation of the People by Edo, and would gradually be replaced with Ika- Igbo ones the moment Igbanke is freed from Edo influence by returning them to Delta state- Fact |

pazienza: All your attempts at revisionism is falling flat in its face. Igbanke is made up of 6 clans. Name all the Igbanke communities (not just one) that have an Eze ruling them. Historically, Igbanke is made up of six autonomous communities namely of Omolua, Ottah, Idumuodin, Ake, Oligia and Igbontor. Each of the six communities has an Enogie as a king. I can tell you four of the clans that already have Enogies, as their kings. HRH Dr Isaac Uwaifo, is the Enogie of Omolua. Another one is HRH Blessing Otabor Igiebor, the Enogie of Idumodin in Igbanke. http://www.ikaworld.com/index.php?mod=article&cat=IkaNews&article=1001 Updated: The Enogie of Igbontor is HRH Jeremiah Omorodion; and Enogie of Ottah-Igbanke, HRH J.C.
