that he was disappointed for not getting the
post of the secretary to the government of the
federation (SGF).

At the time we published the report we felt it was
newsworthy and appeared credible, although we did explicitly state in our article that his aide guaranteed the report’s authenticity.

“It is important to set the record straight, after
thorough legal consultations on the said story, and
for the safety of his aide who granted us the
telephone interview, the online media blog sincerely
apologize to the former governor of River state,
Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi and it’s esteemed readers.

“We hereby discredit and extract the defamation
story from the public domain.

“We sincerely regret the damages this character
assassination might have caused the former
governor.”

because it was just a fabrication by them. Anyone knowing the situation of things would imagine that Ameachi should be pained by the recent appointment of PMB, so their brain and imagination just went to work and they came up with a story. Ameachi should have taken them to court and not accept any stupid apology. A blogger was remanded in prison a short while ago for serving up fake news about the MD of Bank. I'm sure that's why this one is so quick to apologize.
