I have a toyota avensis vvti; 2002 model, hardly do the engine oil take me more than a month despite the fact that it doesn't smoke.I called the mechanic who checked for leakages and fixed it but it still continues.
Please what can i do?

I am sure u are using the wrong oil to service ur car.
The oil grade of ur car is 5w30.Any oil short of dt will definitely spell doom for ur engine.

If your oil is getting short, and there's no leak, do not bother using 5W30 the car will just burn it up faster, try mobil1 0W40 and see how it goes, if it still burns then stick to 20W50 and save up for a new engine

Go change your Air filter if its too dirty then ur engine oil dries faster because the engine will av to take in more excessive air

Without opening the thread, I knew it must be Toyota product. . Very annoying.

It's common with the 1zz-fe engines...search for 'Toyota 1zz-fe issues' on Google..and u'll understand why that happens.
