Hello Nairalanders. I have a cute Samoyed and a friend talked to me about crossing it with his own Caucasian. Please has anyone had experience about such. Because I don't want dying pups. Thanks

Well crossing different breeds isn't a good idea cos u neva can tell what the outcome will be...but...for the sake of science nd curiosity.....scientist dat do what u wanna do engage with both dogs as pure,undiluted breeds...with dis condition of purity...u'll be able to see d resultant effect clearly...
But in a case of a cauc dat already has a gsd gene somewhere hidden in its DNA probably as a result of an initial crossbreed...if care isn't taken d gsd might not not even be pure maybe a local mongrel gene is present in the GSD dat participated in the cross.. ..from dis possible scenarios which u might not be able to control,u'll discover dat u are crossing three if not four different dogs in the process which might cause death of pups

but all in all, can a cauc cross a samoyed...samoyeds are small dogs they just appear a little bit fleshy cos of their hairy coat...nd I doubt u can do artificial insemination......even if a cauc can cross a samoyed naturally,unless u have a pure samoyed nd a cauc like dis ones below..dnt try it ..u won't like the outcome..

do u want to scatter the Samoyed waist bone? or u ve other plans, besides such crossing shouldn't be encouraged. mind u Caucasians are large breed, child birth for the Samoyed could be catastrophic. i take it u're new in the section.

For crying out loud, that would be like matching yogurt with bitter leaves. That's not a good idea, stripes with stripes, spots with spots. Be a responsible breeder.
