I want to use the medium of this forum to alert the members of the public to be wary of the betting firm,Merrybet, operating here in nigeria.
At the moment I have on ongoing issue with them which they have refused to resolve despite my countless mails them.I am sure in their own estimation they are right and that I do not have any case.I hope by bringing this matter to a public forum such as this they would seat up and look into it.
On the 10th of this month, I placed a series of bets of which some were successful and was settled accordingly with the winnings reflected in my betting bank.Then on the 14th of this month I was surprised to see the winnings of on the 10th were now reversed as lost.I checked on the details of the bet that was returned lost from my bet history and was surprised, that an event which the result is all over on the internet as an away win was now home win by Merrybet.The event in question was in the coppa italia between Catania and Spal.The real result was 0--1 with the only goal scored in the 59th minute of the match by the away team.Now some days after the event, there were some complains by the home team which the italian FA looked into and the team spal was disqualified from the competition with the result given as walk over to catanian.So, it is the outcome of this decision that Merrybet now used to reverse my bet.You will only understand the level of dishonesty on the part of Merrybet of you know the rules guiding bet settlement in football.If you check on the rules of all beting firms operating both here and overseas it is stated clearly that bets are settled with what happened during the match and not extra time or FA decision.You can verify online form the rules section of any betting firm. My question for Merrybet is why have they done this to me a long time customer? Is it that they feel threatened by me winning regularly or what? Why not send me a mail that my account is not profitable to them.With that I would have gladly withdrew my money and close the account.Below is a detail of one of the bets

From the above you will find, match awarded by FA decision, but at the bottom 0--1 to the away team.How is it possible to have two results in a match.The reality is that the results that count for betting is the one that happened when the match was played and not the FA Decision.If Merrybet wants to dispute this then it means they do not have any reason to be in this industry.From Merrybet site i have copied this;

All match markets are based on the result at the end of a scheduled 90 minutes play. This includes any added injury or stoppage time but does not include extra time, time allocated for a penalty shoot-out or golden goal.

WHY is merrybet violating the rule it has placed on its site if not that they are dishonest
Now some may ask why not just forget it and port to another betting firm?This is not the first time and I am sure it would not be the last.My friends have been victims too and so many others who are ignorant of the rules guiding bet settlement.I pray that any agent of Merrybet or their staff respond to this here and let me see how they are go ing to defend themselves.Thanks for reading.Please pardon me from the way this post appears to you.Its due to the device am using at the moment
