Amodu Recalls Okocha To Super Eagles: What Is Happening? by DKNYtruth(m): 8:15pm On Apr 01, 2009
EMBATTLED chief coach of the Super Eagles, Shaibu Amodu, has recalled Austin Okocha from retirement following the team's barren draw, recorded against the Mambas of Mozambique in a 2010 World Cup qualifier last Sunday in Maputo.

The former coach of Orlando Pirates told Daily Dreamers that the team still needed an experienced player like Okocha, who retired in 2006 to have a sense of direction.
"It would have been a different story in Maputo if Okocha had played and let the heavens fall, he's coming back to the team.

"In fact, my strategy for the game against Kenya in June will centre on Okocha because of his wealth of experience which no player in the team can match for now," Amodu said.

The Edo State-born tactician pointed out that Okocha's presence in Maputo would have rattled their opponents throughout the match and give the Eagles the leeway to score at least a goal.
"Don't forget that it was Okocha's magic that gave the Dream Team I a 3-0 victory against Kenya in Mombassa after a draw in Lagos. The Kenyans came to the pitch to watch Okocha and that could have been the case too in Maputo if we had taken him there.

"So, Nigerians should start celebration now because no team will survive defeat in Abuja and we are sure of beating Tunisia and Kenya on their home soils now that Jay Jay is back.
“He is a magician anyday anytime," said Amodu, who gave the Super Eagles the 2002 World Cup ticket before he asked Bonfrere Jo to lead the team to Korea/Japan.
This is April Fool in case you are thinking of crucifying Amodu, lol
