Guys pls I need ur help urgently. I recently used kms.auto to activate my Microsoft office and in d process I mistakenly click on activate Windows which was already activated before now.
After d activation, I noticed my system became a bit sluggish and unresponsive. Before now d system took less than 45secs to booth but after this issue it took way over a minute. I then discovered that my disk usage on task manager is usually 100% immediately after boothing even with all d start up apps disabled. I then updated my windows 10 and defender online but still same result. The major problem started when I hard reset d system. it began to take much longer to booth n was still sluggish. At a point it almost couldn't booth completely but eventually it did. I did d hard drive check, it passed d smart check but failed d short DST check. Right now, it doesn't booth again. While booth it shows NTFS file error after diagnosing PC and repairing the disk errors, all this in an attempt to booth oo. Pls, what should I do....sobs

I want to reset my system, please will I need any software to re-install windows..

Open the kms software,click uninstall,it will uninstall the previous activation,then go back to click on install to activate again.

Thats like the build after the initial 1507 release in 2015. This build is November 2015 update.
@tosins if you are already updating its good.But you know if anything happens you have to reinstall and update to the latest build again,you can collect this .iso file and keep it since its the October 2018 build,whenever you install it,you dont to worry about updates again. Even if new updates are out then,it will be few megabytes.

Thanks bro, it might be that some windows file have become so corrupted because it happens after I downloaded the new update

Please, I need your help.
I tried putting on my laptop this evening and I saw that after a long while, there was a display showing 'Unmountable error'. It restarted for a while and the screen was just blue. After a while, I was asked to choose the keyboard language and then there was a page where I selected troubleshooting from. From here, nothing works again and it just keeps going blank. Saying my files are locked and it can't be restarted. I'm lost already. Any idea what could be wrong and the possible solution(s)? Thanks

Did your laptop fall down? Has this happened before?
I think it has to do with your hard drive,maybe it shifted and your system couldn't detect it or the hard drive is going bad.
Remove the hard drive and place it back,make sure all screws are tightened.
If it still doesn't work, try to reinstall the OS.
Advance trouble shooting: If it was mine,I will first try to see if the fault is from the PC hard drive,or Ram or windows Os.
I will boot from a live CD like Linux,if it boots successfully to desktop,then nothing is wrong with the hardware (Ram.)
I will remove the HDD and put it in an external HDD case, connect it to another computer,if it's detected then nothing is wrong with hardware (HDD).
Meaning the windows Os is corrupted and needs to be repaired or reinstalled.

SOLVED!!!

. . .and it was so easy. I installed Partition Manager, launched it, saw the external hard drive, I assigned a drive letter, formatted it as NTFS and voila, my Western Digital 1Tb External Hard Disk Drive came back to life.

I got another WD 1TB ext Hard drive as replacement then so now I have two 1TB Ext HDDs. Good thing I kept it and didn't throw it away . ***Big Lesson***

PC is made up of hardware and software.
You have to troubleshoot to check if it has hardware or software problem.
Hardware problems are:
1. Ram is faulty: remove the ram and place it back, restart your PC and see.
2. Hard drive: very unlikely from what you wrote up there. But HDD malfunction is a possibility.
3. Motherboard: A faulty motherboard is the nightmare of any PC user,cos you are likely about to lose your PC. One major symptom of faulty motherboard is system going off by itself.
Software problems:
1. Windows Os: Your PC won't even boot to desktop if windows is corrupted,but you can never tell. Try to boot into safe mode and see. Or use cmd to carry out mbr repair or scan drive for error or do system restore.
2. Applications: recently installed software can prevent our system from starting properly. Especially those with virus or malware. Use system restore to restore your PC to an earlier state.
