The HSE Director is responsible for the design,implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health, and safety programs for the company. This position will develop and provide technical and administrative direction on all HSE
decisions, which bear critical importance to overall company objectives, operations, and profitability. These specialists review and update Institutional HSE policies and
conduct risk assessments to detect
potential hazards and plan precautionary measures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Directs the resources and activities of the Company to support the HSE programs by providing advice and guidance to the Management;
• Continually maintain an appropriate level of awareness, knowledge and preparedness across the Company to create a culture that prioritizes effective HSE;
• Review existing HSE policies and practices of the Company to ensure they are current and appropriate; conduct hazard and risk assessments and change existing, or develop new recommendations from these
assessments;
• Serve as the Company expert within the field of HSE when called upon to address regulatory agency compliance issues, third party safety & liability consultants and subcontractor representatives;
• Provide regular written reports, as well as other production-related results and updates to Management;
• Assist the Operations Managers by suggesting safe work practices as part of training;
• Conduct comprehensive on-site safety assessments as part of constant monitoring process;
• Document all safety violations or unsafe conditions/ activities; ensures corrective measures are immediately implemented; follows through to insure corrections have
been made;
• Assist in investigation of all incidents (GL/WC/ Recordable Incidents, Near Miss and First Aid) and ensure proper records are completed and submitted.
•Assist in implementation of corrective actions as it relates to the incident and ensure "lessons learned" are
communicated throughout the Company and are incorporated in policy/procedure, if necessary;
• Develop a site specific Emergency Management Plan and communicate this plan through orientation to all
personnel;
• Actively participate in the scheduling of safety meetings. across Company locations to review HSE performance and policies;
• Oversee Company's HSE incentive programs and periodically reviews them to ensure they are accomplishing the desired results. Make necessary changes to the program to maximize effect;
• Stay abreast of current and emerging technical and professional aspects of this position;
• Conduct site visits/audits;
• Create company culture which holds safety as a top priority at all levels

Skills
•Two to four years safety management experience
• Strong verbal and written communication skills;
• Proactive, persuasive communicator who gets satisfaction in helping others become more effective;
• Ability to work well under pressure and communicate safety guidelines and regulations to Company employees;
• Ability to interact professionally with all levels of Management, both internal and external;
• Advanced knowledge of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local and Company regulations;
• Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement timely corrective measures;
• Ability to train and educate others;
• Good computer skills including MS Office Suite;
• Knowledge of all Environmental Health and Safety training required by government regulations;
• Ability/willingness to be on-call to respond to safety situations as needed.

Qualification
you must earn at least a bachelor's degree in occupational health, safety management or environmental science or any relevant related discipline. Must be a certified HSE personnel.
