These photos has demystified the face of government in Nigeria today. From Ekiti to Owerri to Kaduna. The change is obvious. Ayo Fayose and a number of his fellow governors has embraced the seemingly mundane form of politicking in claiming populist medals. Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai can, for instance, be seen here pushing a wheelbarrow full of dirt during an environmental enlightenment exercise. Be it a mere political stunt or a sincere action by a governor/minister/senator/public office holder, as long as it brings the leaders closer to the people, it is a welcome development for me. As an environmentalist by discipline and interest, I cannot but commend Gov. El-Rufai and ex governor Peter Obi. By those singular act of theirs (even if it's eye service), several people would have been directly or indirectly motivated to keep their environment clean. A good thing if you ask me. Governors visiting schools while adorned in uniforms (even if it's a stunt) could be a motivation to students by giving them a sense of belonging. I wish governors visited when I was a primary/secondary school student but during my time, what we had were strong-faced mean military administrators. 4 Likes |

That's serious But op stop deceiving people by adding the "buhari" factor and "change" slogan to it cos some of these acts were done long time ago before this govt came on board e.g Peter obi has left office for almost 2years now. 2 Likes |
