Ladymach11: Is your hubby working or running his own business in Nigeria? You can't drag your hubby to the UK if he was something doing in Nigeria. There is a member here who faced similar situation last year and was able to get a visa and travel with her daughter. Have you made care arrangements for your kids? adequate accommodation? |

Ladymach11: You are just making much ado about nothing. Simply get your husband to apply with you or with the kids and then get him to escort you and the kids to the UK. After then, nobody cares if he remains in the UK or not. |

Ladymach11: My hubby is working and cant leave his work and come with us...and am yet to make any care arrangement That is good enough reason not to come with you people. First you need to make care arrangement for your kids and adequate accommodation. Your hubby can apply for visiting visa later to visit during his leave but he needs to write a letter explaining all these AND a consent letter allowing you to travel with the kids. |

fizzile:Still coming up or down? What about if the rate goes high like a week, and later comes down in two weeks time. Will it affect the statement of account at the end of 28days? Or we need to maintain the rate at a high price so it won't affect. I also heard, they will make use of the rate the day I applied, which of the apply date. Is it school or Visa Cc: justwise Claremont fizzile OlowoB |
Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 3 by fizzile(m): 6:58am On Aug 09, 2016 |
Whatamidoinghere:I will advice u to use 450 or 430 to calculate so that you will be on the safe side. They will use the rate on the day u apply for visa to calculate. As at today, it has moved from 415 to 417. For instance if you calculated with 400 and after the 28days the rate dropped to 390, and on the day u applied for visa it went up to to 410, they will use 410 to calculate. Hope you undstnd. 1 Like |

MrsDaniels: Well, it is not unexpected. The test fee is $130 or its equivalent in Naira. They have simply adjusted the exchange rate from N200/$1 to N315/$1. We should even be happy that they used the interbank rate rather than black market rate. Next time, people will be more careful not to vote a dullard for President |

Whatamidoinghere: It is the rate of the day you pay online that will be used I.e say you make payment for your IHS fees and application fees online. If the rate should skyrocket for a week and then reduces or vice versa does not matter. It is the rate of that particular day (day of payment for application) that would be used. 1 Like |

OlowoB: Not everyone has to be a politician, nor a leader. Numbers don't lie, the administration has failed woefully. That is what happens when you prepare for war because you expect to lose the election, but then, people without basic education on democracy votes you in and you have nothing to offer 2 Likes |

OlowoB:Please don't develop headache ooo. A friend landed in the US two days ago and he dropped his transcript on the US thread. This guy almost wept at Naija...he gave his experiences from the airport down to his hotel room down to when his course adviser called him that he will be in school by soo soo and soo time and will love to catch up with him when its convenient for the guy. here in naija, u go wait for lecturer tired..inshort he called them "cursed advisers". To crown it up, one of his lecturers invited him for dinner with his family from now till when school resumes fully. The problem we have here in naija is a structural issue and runs in the blood. i doubt if naija will ever get better judging by the crop of leaders we have presently. When are we gonna see a new crop of politicians? rather we have same people in different parties. dont be surprised if by 2018, dos in the ruling party will decamp to the pdp or a different party. the quest for power has become so intensed that politicians no longer think of the people, rather they think of how much they can loot. as long as am concerned, don't expect somuch from this current administration cos it won't achieve anything tangible. its basically an administration on revenge mission. lets forget the current issues in this country cos talking about it is annoying. n/b: abeg if u have an opportunity to leave this country, please move on ooooo...work hard, and make the best outta whatever thing you do abroad.
