Own Goal snubbed in Arsenal's Goal of the Month competition

Despite scoring twice, both winners, for the Gunners already, the new signing has been overlooked in favour of "picks of the bunch" from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Olivier Giroud.

Two goals in your opening five games of the season is a great start for any player, especially when they are both winners to earn your new club four of their seven points accrued thus far.

However, it was not to be a fairytale end to a brilliant first month at Arsenal for Own Goal, who was cruelly left out of the club's look back at the best strikes from the past few weeks.

In his place Arsenal have chosen "picks of the bunch" (read: the only other two) goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, in the Community Shield against Chelsea, and Olivier Giroud, against Crystal Palace.

With such clinical and decisive goals, Goal have decided to pay our own tribute to Arsene Wenger's new attacking talent... even if the manager acts like he doesn't exist (or needs him).
