That guy is just in denial on who he is. Firstly, there's no ethnic group in Nigeria known as Okpe. They are recognised as a part of Urhobo! All their appointments and socio-cultural ties are with the Urhobos. They are members of the UPU of the Urhobos. They answer Urhobo names, speak and understand general Urhobo but their own traditional dialect is very very deep just like Ijebu yoruba. Some of them, for political or personal reasons, claim to be different and the Isoko experiment (where a man named Otobo, an Isoko Man in the then Eastern Urhobo division of the Western Colonial Parliament, moved for Isoko's independence from Urhobo and succeeded) prove to be what they aspire towards. However, just like any other tribe, they are a dialect of Urhobo as much as Isoko is but they are more Urhobo in culture and language than the Isokos. Funny enough, Isoko and Okpe seem to be kith & kin.
The summary of all these is that Okpes are Urhobos! Don't let the deluded thinking of someone confuse you about this FACT!
xcelent my friend.

I mean Polygamous home, They love polygamous home, getting married to 3wives e.t.c more than any other tribe in Nigeria

Hehehe you forgot my tribe Hausa-Fulani. We are polygamous by nature, culture and religion. No tribe can beat Hausa-Fulani in terms of polygamy.

Truely,Igbos are more welcoming.......the only people we hate is the Hausa/foolanies because the killed over 6million of us and subjected us into living in a country that is not ours but was created by the Europeans..........i dnt think it will be possible for jew to ever love Sir Adolf Hitler

East and the north have been fighting since the 1800's...
You should research before independence.

It shall be well with you sir. The noise of Okpe being or not being Urhobo is becoming too much nowadays, maybe because of it's size, and i think it's high time the people of Okpe led by the Orodje make a clarification on this issue. The truth is all the 22 clans/kingdoms in Urhobo all have unique dialects; it's just that majority of the spoken dialects are more similar to one another... Uvwie and Okpe dialects are the least when it some to general similarity, this phenomenon is also evident in other Nigerian ethnic groups. Urhobo wado, Delta wado, Nigeria wadooooo.

The Orodje Of Okpe already Cleared That since oo, Okpe is even a member of UPU ...

Interesting to know..........they don't even share land borders. After how many centuries. England could do okay on it's own after looting African countries for centuries. Breaking up this country is asking for 3 small B****es that the West can F*** at will undecided

Y? are we not educated, if you feel so plz change your circle of friends.Join the urhobo scholars group, mayB you will meet more intellectuals of the urhobo kingdom.
MAYBE I don't even have any Urhobo friend and I don't need to join a "SCHOLAR" group to tell if Urhobos are educated or not. Study the life of Urhobos around you and not any socialite club. The number seven is very much debatable; it still does not change a thing though. I'm a full blooded Urhobo mangrin

The east was winning against the north... If the east had not attacked the south west they might have won the civil war...

It was originally a north vs east war...
