Found in record, HRH Oba Abubakar Adeshola Sholadoye Oyelowo 1, ascended the throne of his forefathers with his confirmation as the Onigbonna of Igbonna in Oyun Local Government of Kwara State by the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alh. Abdulfatai Ahmed Magida on 18th May, 2015.
On Saturday, 5th September, 2015 was a memorable day in Igbonna town as people came from far and near to grace occasion of the presentation of Staff of Office to the new Onigbonna of Igbonna.
The Staff of Office was presented to him by the Executive Governor of Kwara State ably represented by his Deputy, Elder Peter Kisira. During the presentation, the Deputy Governor congratulate him for being worthy to be appointed as the Onigbonna by the State Government. He urged him to serve as a builder of bridges of peace and harmony among the people of his domain and beyond.
The Onigbonna of Igbonna, Oba Abubakar Adeshola Sholadoye Oloyede Oyelowo 1 in his acceptance speech pledged to uphold the confidence the State Government saw in him for the appointment and also not to betray the confidence of the great people of Igbonna town.
