Brother of 'hoodie' who made gun gesture at David Cameron shot twice in the legs

The brother of a 'hoodie' who infamously made a gun gesture behind David Cameron's back in Manchester eight years ago was the victim of a doorstep shooting.

The notorious image of Ryan Florence posing behind the Tory leader was taken as he toured Benchill in Wythenshawe in 2007 - and became a symbol of Britain's youth disorder problem.

Now it's emerged that his younger brother, Ashley Florence, was the man who was shot twice in the legs in Wythenshawe last month, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Police were called to a house on Foxlair Road at around 1am on August 1 after reports that a gun had been fired at the front door.

Ashley, 18, was found at the scene, shot once in both legs.
