It's about time banks got into the business of banking, instead of relying on cheap public sector funds.


The banks will need us soon (once all reforms are put in place), just as they need the 'average Joe' in all economies of the world I know of.

Is this related to the purported sack of over 1200 Staff by Zenith Bank recently?

Are there more sacks underway from other banks based on the loss of revenue to a single account?

What would be the cumulative effect of a large scale retrenchment of bank workers to the economy given the already high unemployment?

Granted it stems corruption a good extent, would this be good action based on the balance of negative consequences versus merits?

Could there have been a scaled response to plug loopholes and prevent retroactive effects?

GOOD MOVE!!! Single account ok and it must be made know to all nigerians. No secrecy in public accounts, most importantly NNPC, LNG on-shore and off-shore accounts

TSA my foot! Transperancy and accountability ko Chuachua ni. TSA is a lazy brain way of keeping account. In a complex economy, govt transactions being limited to a single account is on the Surface good but, in reality just another bureaucracy with attending negative impact on credit creation as a 1st line money creation. Question; is the advanced economies running on TSA?
