Navy, a nation's armed forces that operate on water. Nation's Navy consists of naval bases, airports, & training centers.
A Navy's purpose is to defend its home shores against conventional attacks, defend missile submarines, protect shipping, & provide support for invasions. They control the sea by preventing supplies from reaching their enemy. Naval ships may be used to bombard shore installations & defenses.
Navy Strike Forces are the primary instrument of naval powers. Navies must be able to find & sink both attack submarines & missile submarines as they are greatest threat to a nation's security. To help in locating submarines, navies use radar, sonar, & detection devices using light, including infrared rays, & heat. All Navies must have bases, ships, & personnel to support their combat forces.
Key to a successful naval group: To provide a form of naval tactics, all ships of every Squadron shall endeavour to keep in line with the chief. This was only how the Romans won the war fought by their navies between Greeks & Persians.
Thus, each country shapes its navy to best meet its own needs.
Then, the Questions are: Is that the role your county'navies play? What need have your naval forces met?
For me: I see them doing the role meant for Land Police & the Green Berets(Mobile Police). So, learn your roles!
