A female student of University of Lagos (UNILAG) was on 8th Sept.(2days ago) electrocuted by high tension cable in front of Sodeinde Hall of residence on the campus.
The female student was walking along the "New Hall" bus stop when an high voltage electric cable fell off the pole striking her to death.

The student was immediately taken for treatment at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), but gave up before the ambulance conveying her could reach the hospital.
The fallen cable is still lying on the ground with rain drizzling over it as students walk closely along the path of the tragedy.

Although firefighters were called to the scene, they soon left after taking the victim from the scene leaving the entire area without cordoning it off or placing caution tape around it.

Students who witnessed the tragedy reported that they have been witnessing some electric sparks off the cables on the same electricity poles recently on the campus. The authorities did nothing until the fatal collapse of a high tension cable killing the female student happened this evening.

The victim Oluchi Anekwe a 300 level student of the Department of Accounting at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and was a first class scholar in her department until her death from a high voltage cable that snapped off the pole on the campus last night.

embarassed life is top hard abeg. indeed there is nothing to this life, we're all flesh and bones. everything is vanity upon vanity, may her family take to heart Jesus words that soon '' the dead shall rise again''.

sleep well beauty, though death got you now, you are resting in the warm hands of the lord. soon, there shall be no more tears and pains.

I know it shall come to pass! RIP embarassed

RIP sweetheart

Why are you so senseless, tribalistic and pessimistic?
Oh I guess, you're one of those immatured NL kids, better grow up and change that negative perception for you don't know where life will take you to and you never know who's gonna be your destiny helper.

@ the story, May the sol of the departed rest in peace, may God grant everyone who's affected by this loss the fortitude to bear the demise of the lady. Amen

Are you that much tribalistic that you don't know even when to throw your tribal jabs?
A soul of a human was lost and you are here chanting tribalist chants. Its painful for the family in question that you are making this nefarious gesture at a time they need solace. Please, apologize for being like that.
We are First Humans before being Igbo or Yoruba.
