Both academic and non-academic workers of the Federal College of Education, Kano on Friday organized a special prayer session over the controversial move by the federal government to revert its decision on the new university status
The prayer which held concurrently by both Muslim and Christian faithful among the workers.

The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union, Dr Sadiq Abubakar Haruna said workers seek God’s grace to grant their heart desire on the university staff.

Haruna affirmed that the unions were making headway to retain their university status, adding that the outcome of their struggles would be fruitful.

Our Correspondent reports that the controversial university status had divided the management staff and the Unions of the institution.

The union claimed that the memo on the university has been suspended for now, while the management insisted that the entire process had been reverted.
