Sunderland (1) Vs Manchester United (2) On Saturday 11th April by Cristalz(f): 6:18pm On Apr 09, 2009 |
Sunderland host Manchester United at the Stadium of Light this Saturday, 15.00 GMT. Sunderland seem to be in poor form. Their last 2 Prem games ended in losses, with their overall performance leaving lots to be desired. Manager Ricky Sbragia is feeling positive about Saturday's game however. . .the reception plan for Manchester United is an all-out attack. Seems to be what every team's doing to United these days. Manchester United are just barely hanging on to their lead on the Prem table after their narrow victory over A.Villa last Sunday. This Saturday, they have a good opportunity to bag more points and remain on top. If they fail to win, their only hope of remaining on top will be if Liverpool lose their game. The club has been noticeably shaky since the heavy defeat to Liverpool, and this was quite obvious in Tuesday night's UCL game against FC Porto in which they managed a draw. Sir Alex has got serious defensive issues to contend with, as a number of his key defenders are out injured. Those on the injury list include Anderson, Johnny Evans, Rio Ferdinand, Berbatov, Rafael, Brown, and Owen Hargreaves. Ferdinand is expected to be available for Saturday's game. . .will be a boost to the back line as Vidic will be unavailable for the game; still serving out his suspension. Striker Wayne Rooney will also be unavailable, as well as Paul Scholes, both also serving match suspensions. Seems Sir Alex has got both defensive and attacking issues. This is an important potential 3 points for the club however, so we can safely expect a good fight. |
