I got a complain that MasterCards got from Nigerian banks are not accepted. Is that true? I believe MasterCards are the same worldwide.

If you have one, have you done international trade?

Nigeria issued MasterCard works perfectly all over the World. However, many Internet Merchants have made a vow never to accept any form of purchases from Nigeria. Maybe that will change when Dora is through with the "re-branding" thing. grin grin

Some accept and some do not. You just have to try it. My first experience was with IXWebhosting.com. They rejected it. I tried it with another web host. They accepted it after a little delay, which I think was because they were cross-checking or what evev. Take a look at the following:

The bottom line is that you need to try it out. As I said, I have one issued by Intercontinental Bank. Some rejected it while others accepted it. My candid opinion is: try it out.

yes, i have close to 20 domains with godaddy.com which i purchased with my GTB issued mastercard.
gtb does not charge transaction fees

think before u choose a bank, whichever one you try out, stay away from UBA mastercard, they still have my money till date (i think they are good with other services though)

@feyi,

you might want to share how much you pay as security deposit each time you fund your card, whats the minimum amount you can add you ur card.

GTB will not charge you a dim, you can even fund ur mastercard with $50 and u get to use all 50 dollars
