no I dint pay any money, I registered with a link they sent me and an email was sent to me.
I deposited mine in dollars.

Apologies but I can you please throw more light on the accommodation thingy. I am not going to Norway, headed for Spain, and they make this full year accommodation requirement. How do they want me to pay this full fee when I am not guaranteed a visa, have not seen the place and can't get a refund.

You said you registered with a link what link? and who sent this said link?

Thanks.

I saw this coming. I know it was for a school in Norway. At the very least, I can read. So I was just asking for further info on what actually transpired.

There is limited info for Spanish student visa so I just adapt what I get from students moving to other Schengen countries for studies.

Cheers!!!

Dear Niralanders I need your help.

I have been offered admission for Public International Law at the University of Oslo. I have accepted the offer and would want to the SIO deposit early May.

Apart from the NOK 3.200 for applicantion would I be paying any other fees at the consulate?

Secondly the Study Plan says the student is guaranteed accommodation would there be need for a housing contract or I can apply for my visa then process housing afterwards

I'd appreciate your thoughts and timely replies

Cost from 3000NOK to 6000NOK depending on type of room and location.

Yes! Every year but I don't think that should be a big problem.

yes that's true about the restriction on Nigerian accounts. All u have to do is goto the customer care rep. in your bank and tell them you need to transfer more than $10,000 in one transaction. They will ask why and sometimes they might want to see your admission letter. if all goes well the restriction will be removed on your account and u will be able to transfer the required amount.

Hello People!
I just came on-board this this forum. I must attest to the fact that we have a bunch of wonderful
and patriotic nigerians here. I encourage us to keep this bond of love and warnness and a heart to
help fellow nigerians very strong. Let us inform the world that not all nigerians arefraudsters and drug
dealers or associated with anything inimical to the society. We have a lot much higher numbers of us
that are hard-working and good people

Hello people,

PLEASE WHO KNOWS ABOUT NARVIK UNIVERSITY COLLEGE, NORWAY?

Please I need a very urgent response to this request. Can someone who is well informed about norway please get back to me as soon as possible. Cos I have just 4 days left to make this decision, pleaaase.

I applied for admission some time in February, and just got a mail from Narvik University College (NUC) in Norway informing me of the University offering me admission into their Msc Engineering Design. The mail was sent by I suppose, the Senior Executive Officer, International Affairs of NUC, via his personal official school email. On the mail was attached the Admission letter and other adjoining documents to be acknowledged and instructions about processing my travel documents. In the mail, i was told that they hard copy of the admission offer letter will be sent via post and that I should not wait till that arrives nigeria before I commence processing my documents for visa and others because of the limited time required for visa and residence permit processing. I was instructed to print the mailed offer letter and other documents, sign where necessary and return scanned copies of the documents to NUC, via mail before 10th of May, 2015, and then commence my visa application. The document contained information about the Student Union Bank account where prospective admitted students pay in the 2.5M per year living expenses, after which will be transferred to the student's account when the student arrives norway.

Right now, I have a problem with verifying the authenticity of the Bank account to avoid being defrauded. I have contacted Stanbic IBTC, to help me make enquiries about the account in norway. I was told that the IBAN number exists but that they cannot confirm the authenticity of the account. Another confusing thing is that the Bank account information sent to me is same with that on the school's website. Below is the Bank account info:

Name of School: Narvik University College

Bank account number: 4520 12 39463

Bank account owner: Studentsamskipnaden i Narvik

Bank: Sparebanken Narvik

Postal Address: P.o.boxc 102, N-8502 Narvik, Norway

SWIFT-BIC: NARVN021

IBAN number: NO97 4520 12 39463

Please can somebody help me here. How can I verify the authenticity of this account? Does anyone know about NUC or had any dealing with them? How good is Narvik and NUC? Can one easily get work in Narvik?

@ Dan that's the procedure for all govt. funded schools in Norway. To be sure just locate the nearest Norwegian Embassy to you, either in Lagos or Abuja. Ask them about the school and they will be happy to help you out.
