As immediate past Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Kingsley Kuku appears before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to answer questions relating to his tenure, a Federal Capital Territory High Court has restrained the security agencies from arresting him.

Kuku, who was invited by the EFCC in late July to clarify issues relating to his tenure at the Presidential Amnesty Office, however got approval to proceed with a major surgery on his knee in the United States of America.

He is due to report to the EFCC on September 30, but there are claims that the security agencies have laid ambush to arrest him as he enters the country ahead of his appearance before the anti-graft agency.

Those restrained by the order issued by Justice Valentine Ashi are: Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Inspector General of Police, Department of State Service, DSS, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission.

Justice Ashi issued the restraining order after listening to arguments from counsel for EFCC, ICPC and DSS and that of Kuku arising from suit No. CV/2695/2015 and a motion marked No: M/9541/2015 before the court.

A certified copy of the order signed by the Court Register, Balami, E.P, warned the respondents not to interfere with the freedom of the former presidential aide pending the hearing and determination of the case.

He said: ‘The respondents whether by themselves, their agents, servants or privies howsoever else described are hereby jointly and severally restrained from arresting or in any way interfering with the liberty of and freedom of movement of the applicant.”

This Justice Valentine Ashi(very odious meaning in Yoruba) is an example along with those Judges who restrained SEC in the BGL/Albert Okumagba criminal case are the type of Judges Prof Itself Sagay's committee and NJC should investigate and should be derobed,prosecuted !!
What kind of Judge will restrain all law-enforcement agencies of the land because of one individual?Kingsley Kuku might as well carry bomb into Nigeria while the security agencies should fold their arms and watch! Arrant nonsense.

The judge better expedite action on that case and tell Nigerians the reason why before things get out of hand.

It seems many doesn't read and comprehend before commenting, does the judge said he shouldn't face trials or investigation and what exactly the constitution says as you rain insult on the innocent judge.
