Guys in d house pls I need ur advice my cousin just called me dat a friend of his that works with agip has helped him secure a job after spending some money now his saying that agip wants to send them to milan next wk for training at a total cost of 580000 but they are asked to raise 280000 to enable them make d trip. While agip will take care of 300000 expensis , Now my question is , is it possible for agip to make such demand then if agip is making such demand what is d basiscs of employement when u pay for your training Pls I will appreciate ur contributions and suggestions Tnx so much |

No company, I repeat 'No company ' would make its staff pay any sort of money for whatever training at all. It is 100% the responsibility of every company to have its staff trained, why would then they charge the employee for it. This is obviously nothing but a scam!! |

@OP, your cousin has been obviously scammed, and will be scammed even more if he doesn't wise up. @friedplantain you are not entirely correct. Some companies actually would send their employees for training, but the cost for such would be shouldered by the employees. What these companies normally do is deduct the cost for the training from the affected employee's salary |

It is the duty of a company to train it's staff and under no reason should the employees foot the bill except Ofcourse it is a personal training done by the employee and he/she is just requesting for financial assistance from the company. |

Things to know about Agip: Agip hadly advertised job but in house recruitment. You must know somebody. The recruit once in a year for all engineering courses inclusive. Maximum shorlisted ppl is 20 per set. Second class upper is one of their criteria. Not more than 30yrs. If successful, u will be sent to Italy for 8 months training with full salary. Note you will be required to process your international passport that is the only money you will pay. After the training you will be redeployed to their offshore or onshore platform in Nigeria. |

Got a text from someone two days ago telling me if i would like to work in Agip...He said he got my number from a Whatsapp Job group... Funnily i tried engaging the guy on Whatsapp and discovered it wasnt even registered... so it a pure scam... Tnx house An up date on our Agip job, Since yestarday I had requested they send me d so called Agip account details so dat I can make d payment but specifically I told my cousin dat it must not be a third party account dat it must be Agip but up till now they are yet to send d account detail or maybe their own Agip dosent run a bank account only GOD knows So am still waiting for d detail......., |
