Frank Bruno has been readmitted to hospital after suffering a ­devastating relapse in his bipolar disorder battle.

The boxing legend, who has been sectioned three times in the past 12 years, went ­voluntarily with a “severe bout of depression”.

Just days ago Frank looked happy and relaxed as he posed for pictures with fans after finishing the Great North Run.

But the 53-year-old was hiding the anguish of his continuing struggle against bipolar disorder.

Former world heavyweight champion Frank, who has been sectioned three times in the past 12 years, voluntarily went into a hospital that specialises in treating his Bipolar Disorder.
