cucumbar: Not necessarily always. If you want to take your documents to the consulate IN PERSON or through THIRD PARTY, then you must book appointment and wait till you get a date. But even the consulate prefer you to send it through courier because when i called, I was asking if i could submit for my wife too but the guy said "Even you do not need to come. Just send it through courier." As for insurance, i guess you need insurance cover for just the days you are traveling (from departure date from Nigeria to arrival date back to Nigeria). It doesnt make sense to book 1 month insurance when you want to stay for 10 days... that's waste of money cos ideally, once you are back to Nigeria your insurance cover doesnt cover you any longer (thats why it's called TRAVEL INSURANCE) |

donbuscka:thank you for taking time to respond. I guess you’ll address the mail to the consulate general in kofo abayomi right? Or any other address? |
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by donbuscka: 3:56pm On Jan 09, 2022 |
cucumbar: Yes, Consulate General of Brazil in Lagos Plot 257 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos-Nigeria However, always get you information from the official website... do not let anyone give you address, phone number, email, or even acct number. Anyone can help you but always reconfirm from the official website. 1 Like |

Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by donbuscka: 4:11pm On Jan 09, 2022 |
dehiero: This i can't answer. However, i feel if you calculate all it will cost you to travel for the number of day you want, with some reasonable addition on top, should be fine. Flight to Brazil now is 500k plus depends on airline. Add hotel, add feeding, add internal transport, add your proposed tours, etc... then you should arrive at a a fair amount |

Hello dude if you can't get Mexico visa it's best for you to apply via any schengen visa France or Spain or Germany if you can obtained any schengen countries visa you are free to use that schengen visa to visit Mexico freely without applying for Mexico visa again Thanks 2 Likes |
Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by donbuscka: 6:06pm On Jan 09, 2022 |
dehiero: 1. There is no procedure. Just package all documents and send to the consulate. However, answer 2 will tell you what to do before you can use courier. 2. You would have to choose "Courier" WHEN YOU ARE FILLING THE APPLICATION, not after. That way you have indicated your documents will be presented through courier. I will also advise you put a self addressed envelope inside for them to return your docunents and passport. 1 Like |

Guy, aside using my own account statement. Which would yield a positive visa application? A company's account statement or an individual sponsor's statement? And must the individual bare my surname? Thanks. 1 Like |

Duisburg: Let's say your the one granting the application and someone submits these accounts in question which one will you grant? If I am the consular, I will only grant an account in your name, or in your company's name or in another company's name that grants you authorization to spend their money for pleasure or a sponsor that has attested to sponsoring your holiday. The sponsor can further transfer the money to your personal account in full and also put it in writing what he did and why. Remember it's a tourist application you're putting in. Thank you. |

donbuscka:I mailed my documents to the embassy today using DHL and included a self addressed envelope, eventhough the person in DHL told me I should know that I am doing that at my own risk as they don’t have an agreement to pick processed applications from the Brazilian embassy. Wondering if anyone has gone through this route before. Keeping my fingers crossed. |

Hello people. Wow! I just read through this thread and it has been interesting. I'm just in my first trimester and wanna give birth in Brazil. I have a family friend over there. Is it possible for me to go there and deliver if she invites me over? Around what month should I start processing my visa and all that? I haven't taken the vaccine cause I was pregnant at the time and then lost it before this one. What is the way forward? Is it safe to take the vaccine while pregnant? I'll like anyone who has taken the vaccine while pregnant to respond to this. Do I need to go with my husband or he can come join me? When is the safest time to travel too? Too many questions but I just need updated information please. Thanks in anticipation. |
