Hello everybody, is there any CBN rules that barred bank from allowing dollar withdrawal over the counter? i tried withdrawing some bills today in GTB and was told to either transfer to another domiciliary account or have it converted by them and then forward to my Naira account. Has anyone experience same recently?

I only heard you can't deposit forex but can surely withdraw over the counter.

I tire oooo! The CBN banned cash deposits into domiciliary accounts and minimum withdrawals of $300 from it daily.

Now banks will tell you they will habe to convert it for you and pay you in naira.

I think the banks are having a deal with the BDC's because they will definitely sale that converted amount of yours to them.

That is why the naira will be gain value.

CBN please check on them.

CBN stopped cash deposit and withdrawal into and from domiciliary accounts effective August 5, 2015. Only wire transfers into and from domiciliary accounts are permissible effective from August 5, 2015.
However if you fx inflow came prior to August 5, 2015, you can withdraw the fx in cash.
