I agree with Stillwater, I guess it gets boring too having long hair. My hispanic friend whose hair reaches to half her back says she wants to cut it 'cause it's too stressful for her when she washes it. I just shake my head like "are you serious?". But I don't think she's talking about Cassie's or Kelis' style(I love Kelis' hair).
