I have this church behind my house that always have special session prayers for Nigeria and the Boko Haram Insurgency in particular. They do this every Sunday for about 1 hour. They pray fervently and call good prayers for the unification of Nigeria and supernatural powers to end insurgencies above all they pray for the wisdom of the leaders. To me I think this is a very good thing, despite the fact that this church is somewhere around the south west region, they never gave up on the other parts of Nigeria. I want to use this medium to reach out to all other religious setting and parastatals, to please make this a point of reaching out to the war crippled north east, they are suffering and even if its just a prayer say for them in all our religious gathering everyday, its enough. Let me put this point through, I have no problem with our big churches and mosques with the issue of buying "special gadgets" of course even Jesus used the best perfume and rode the best horse, but what are you doing as part of the love you have shown to the Idp's . You get money everyday from the congregation, those inside that IDP camps shouldn't be dying of kwashiorkor. The government is not only to be left with the work, we all know what kind of government officials we have these days. But my question is, why are we not our brother's keeper and show love as the religion really teaches us? What do you think, your comment might change others mind too. NB: I don't belong to any religion, I'm just spiritual and not religious. don't castigate me. Drabeey. |
