MIKE Ezuruonye and Funke Akindele are nominated in Nollywood Personality of the Year Award category at the Empire Global Awards .



Empire Global Awards, where the best of Nigerians will be rewarded for their contributions to the development of the country, is taking place on Saturday, April , at the Grand Hall, West London, England.

The event will be attended by dignitaries from all walks of life including envoys, political leaders, state governors, captains of industries, banking and insurance moguls, showbiz personalities,among others.

Mr Dele Aberuagba, the Publisher of Empire International Magazine, UK-the organisers of the awards ceremony- explained that the event is being meticulously put together to ensure a hitch-free success.

"Baring the various logistic arrangements in London and Nigeria towards staging one of the best internationally-recognised events, the awards committee has resolved to host the best of Nigerians on the d-day", he said.

Nominations for the awards ceremony include Most Glamorous First Lady in Nigeria-Hajia Turai Yar'Adua,the Nigerian First Lady; Mrs Toyin Saraki of Kwara State and Yeye Olufunke Daniel of Ogun State.

Woman Achiever of the Year-Prof. Dora Akunyili, the Honourable Minister for Information, and Nigerian World Bank Representative, Mrs Obi Ezekwezili; Artiste of the Year-D'Banj, ice and P-Square; Most Resourceful Entrepreneur in Nigeria-Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Mr Femi Otedola and Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim; Most Resourceful Governor in Nigeria-Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State, Mr Liyel Imoke of Cross River, Mr Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State and Otunba Gbenga Daniel of Ogun State.Most Resourceful Industrialist- chief Michael Adedoyin, Chief Rotimi Obeisun and Oba Otudeko;Most Resourceful Insurance Company of the Year- IGI, Mutual Benefit assurance and Leadway Assurance;Best Bank in Infrastructure Financing-Zenith Bank, Oceanic Bank and Intercontinental Bank.
