The National Institute of Construction technology,
Uromi which is the first of its kind in the Country, was
established in July 2014 by the Federal Government of
Nigeria in its efforts geared towards the development of
the necessary skilled manpower which is in short
supply in the country, especially in the construction
sector.
The activities of the Institute will lead to the creation of
jobs for the youths and their ability to become
employers of labour through skill acquisition premised
on sound technical and vocational education. The
Institute embraces Information Communication
Technology (ICT) as an indispensible tool for
contemporary education for tutoring and practical
applications in Engineering and Environmental studies.
PROGRAMMES
The National Institute of Construction Technology,
Uromi hereby invites applications from suitably
qualified candidates for admission into the Institute’s
Pre- National Diploma (Pre- ND) and Certificate
programmes. The Pre-ND programme can serve as pre-
requisite for courses in National Diploma offered by the
Institute. The Certificate pogrammes shall satisfy
demands for national and international certifications.
Eligibility:
1) Only candidates who applied through JAMB for
UTME admission with a score of 160 and above are
eligible for this Screening Exercise.
2) A minimum of 5 credits in relevant subjects
including English Language, Mathematics and Physics
at not more than 2 sittings.
Available Programmes:
1) School of Environmental Studies
a. Building Technology
b. Quantity Surveying
c. Architectural Technology
2) School of Engineering
a) Electrical Engineering Technology.
Method of Application:
Candidates are advised to have a valid email account
before starting the application process. A total
payment of ₦5,000 (Post UTME fee of ₦4,000 and
₦1,000 for Result Checkers Card) should be paid in full
through any of the following Institute’s Bank Accounts.

UTME. On the start application screen enter the
following; Valid email and desired password.

Click on Submit. A verification link will be sent to your
email within 24 hours. Visit your email and click on the
verification link to continue the application process. On
the Continue Application page, enter your email and
password to proceed.
On the Bio Data screen, fill in your Bio data correctly
and upload a CLEAR AND RECENT 2.5cm x 2.5cm
COLOURED PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH WITH RED
BACKGROUND IN JPEG FORMAT ONLY. Click on NEXT
to proceed to the next page. Enter your JAMB details.
Preview and confirm your information before
submitting your application online.
Screening Date:
Screening Examination shall take place between 5th to
9th October 2015. Candidates shall be notified at least
48 hours on the time and date of their screening.
Closing Date:
Application closes by 12:00 midnight on 2nd October,
2015 .
