Journalists were on Tuesday barred from covering the live transmission of the trail of Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

Broadcast journalists who had trooped to the venue of the court as early as 7am to get vintage positions in the court were told that they would not be allowed to cover proceedings live unlike in the previous days when the trial against Saraki started.

No reason was given for decision.

Sources, however, said the decision to bar live coverage of the proceedings was as a result of pressures from media aides of Sarak
