Hi, I'm in need of an apple laptop but I'm not familiar with apple laptops. Do i stand to lost anything if i buy the 2010model of the macbook pro? I need the laptop to do web development (ruby on rails), windows is now frustrating in this.

No it isn't. Advisable to buy 4th gen or even 5th gen Intel processor powered computers. At least 3rd gen is manageable. Had a really bad experience with an Intel 2nd gen core i7 laptop I bought earlier this year. Had to sell it at half the price.

Actually, Apple Computers - iMacs and MacBook Pros - are optimized for creative work eg Video Editing, Graphic design, Web editing, DJing, etc. They are duarable, hardly affected by virus attack, etc. However, the only challenge - especially for those of us in the third world is that the accessories come at a premium price. i would advice you go go head and buy any of the Macbook Pros. There is a reason why tyhose who have used Macbook/Macbook Pro, donot want to go back to using mainstream PCs. If you need further advice, call me or text me on 08051162212. Thanks.
