The CBN governor is incompetent. He's still snuggling to Elumelu and Co. I agree that the economic downturn is not his fault but this time requires extraordinary person who can pull us through; and he's not the person.
People talk too much about foreign investors but let's understand that they are not investing in real sectors. They are traders who see opportunities in the favourable returns in the capital/money markets. They also capitalise on the fact that they are allowed 100% repatriation of their money. In fact they contribute to capital flight and money laundering. They are leaving because they don't have the freedom to do whatever they like anymore.

It will be on record that it was in Emiefele's regime that CBN devalued the Naira twice.He has not made any pissitive impact since he came in.

Not everybody is happy with Buhari's anti-corruption agenda. The powerful Nigerians are doing everything possible to derail him because all avenues of looting are being closed.
But my pain is reading from most youths in this forum some jobless graduates of many years back who never benefitted penny from the massive looting supporting the rich and the powerful in the name of party politics or ethinicity. Nigeria has a long way to go.

As for me.. I see more advantages to this than disadvantages. Those who have old notes hoarded in industrial quantities would be forced to bring them out( hopefully caught in the process by the anti-graft...). These GDP figures doesn't necessarily translates to anything in my own opinion. In the long run the economy will stabilize.

Mind you, they also have the choice of converting their old naira to any other currency of the world before the change of colour. lol. This is far from the biggest of challenges Nigeria is undergoing.
