The portrudin collar belongs to the shirt (usually show white long sleeve) worn underneath the caftan which is usually collar less. It was a fashion statement of the northern elite who had early contact with the whites. It is a fusion of both formal and traditional apparels.

You gorit, what do you expect from a man who has had it all, lived his life to the full just in the twilight of his life as president. He has nothing to loose I tell you even if Nigeria capitulates now nothing to loose. If at all, what he needs now is to secure the future of all his grand children while the nation groans under no direction, no policy , no economic blueprint and yet we wait and see, its seven days to the end of September to see the ministerial list and this is a govt we gave mandate since March.

Honestly our problems are never leadership but a terrible followership. we need to learn how never to accept nonsense if its not constitutional.

Notice the absence of any form of protocol from the US. Though this is not unusual for visiting African heads of states in this kind of event, the remark is to bring this to the attention of the propagandists, who overhyped the initial reception given to 'Baba body language' on his first visit. Also the ill informed comparism of that visit with GEJ's less celebrated subsequent visits to the US.

As i closely follow the papal visit to the USA, i now understand the real meaning of respect - not from the prism of Nigerian propagandists.

Not even the Chinese Prime Minister who is also in the US on a working visit got the reception the Pope received. Obama, Biden, Kerry and even the speaker were all lining up to meet the Pope.

Your destination is very well aware of your coming even before you head to the airport to fly there. Now, because there is a UN summit where many heads of government will be attending, high ranking government officials will be on hand to receive the visiting heads of state. They usually won't join the welcome party made up of high ranking embassy officials, notable Nigerians in the diaspora and members of the advance team.

The protocol breach you refering to here is when someone (anyone) other than the designated head of government steps up to receive greetings on behalf of the no 1 citizen like patience Jonathan did repeatedly.

Less Ministers = Less Stealing. With all the ministers of the past 30 years have we seen good roads, good public schools, good hospitals ?

So Mr. President - please take your time vetting public officials, also appoint fewer.

I am sure the search for people not stained by corruption is like looking for a needle in a haystack.
