One more thing am yet to understand about Fixed Deposit as POF. I can't afford to put $15,143 (N4,600,000) in fixed deposit for six months. Can I just fix it for three or two months and get the certificate? Will the number of months be on the certificate or does CIC contact the bank for verification? Please this money issue is a big headache as am not that buoyant financially. |

revlane:You can have your money fixed for the duration you want even if you want it fixed for 1 week.yes the POI will indicate P(Principal Amount) T(Time) R(Rate) will also show the interest it will yield for the period under review. As par contacting the bank to verify I don't know.Goodmorning |

hartson: Thank you very much @hartson, I have not read anywhere on cic that fixed deposit must be for a particular duration. I think i will just fix for two months and work on bank statement too. |

Please I need a clarity on proof of funds. For how many months must the money be in my account (i) before given ITA (ii) & also after I have applied with the ITA, how many months should it be left in the account. Because I will be collecting loan to put in my personal account. |

Hello House, Please is there any implication if someone want to discontinue TRV application for study and pursue EE because he has recently been nominated by a province. How can this be done, send email to Acre immigration or just ignore the medical request call to expire ?. Urgent advise please. |

ddestiny: I don't see how discontinuing your TRV application would impact your PR visa. You may want to notify IRCC Accra as ignoring MR could attract a student visa refusal. Having a clean record is always desirable. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by irondome: 6:54pm On Jul 16, 2016 |
keji00: Average of 6 months prior to your final visa application (post ITA). Ideally, the money should be in your account till you complete your landing procedure because you would also be expected to show the POF at the port of entry. |

ddestiny:No crime in doing the two cos the medical for the TRV can still be use for the PR, since you have paid for the TRV application why not complete it. My tot |

tundechange: It could mean WES has all what they need evaluate your application. In own case, they ignore the delay by my Naija university and went ahead to evaluate my foreign master's degree. When I called on the phone, they confirmed they did that because CRS points are awarded according to the highest degree obtained. However, the dynamics changes with " 2 or more degrees" category, however, one can assume that WES either has what it needs to evaluate your degrees as equivalent to "2 or more degrees) or they have decided your equivalence would be "Bachelor". In the case of the latter, your OND becomes insignificant to your overall equivalence, as my bachelor was. 1 Like |

trishachi: Why would you want to omit it? I reckon it's critical in case they want to conduct independent verification. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by irondome: 7:35pm On Jul 16, 2016 |
Arcayo: Reasonably option, and completely acceptable by IRCC as detailed in the link below http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/visa/dual.asp Except if he is concerned about the cost of medicals. 2 Likes |

irondome: Bro, pls clarify. I'm in the situation where my UK MSc has been received n verified since 1759 but my naija BSc is taking forever, will they just ignore the BSc and provide a report based on the MSc alone? Since CRS points will be given based on my MSc anyways..Reply would be appreciated. Ta |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by irondome: 8:09pm On Jul 16, 2016 |
temitope06: In my own case they did. Not sure if that's still their baseline practice at the moment. If you are comfortable evaluating only your Msc, I opine you can contact them to ignore your Bsc. When I called them on why my Bsc was omitted, they said; 1. My points would not be impacted in any way; 2. Omitting my Bsc enabled them to process my application in 5 days. However, if I wanted my Bsc included, they would withdraw/invalidate the initial report and re-evaluate both degrees, which could take fore-ever (depending on how fast my Naija uni revert on their correspondence) 1 Like 1 Share |

irondome: I evaluated my Bsc through ICAS but I am thinking of evaluating my MBA through IQAS once I collect my certificate/transcript. Do I have to include my "already-verified" Bsc in the application package to IQAS? What is the implication of having 2 credential assessments? Or do you recommend that I do that through ICAS? They are just too slow! Would it make any difference if I include my National Diploam (ND) qualification? Thank you. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by irondome: 12:11am On Jul 17, 2016 |
40manlappy: I am not conversant with ICAS or IQAS, as I used WES for my ECA. However, I would like to believe they follow the same framework. With WES, you would not be required to include the "already verified degree". I reckon there would be a field/menu to key-in the "reference number" of your previous ECA. They would most likely update/upgrade your ECA report to include your MBA. One thing though, I was told by WES that I would not be able to use the old ECA while they process the new one (if I had opted to update my ECA to include both of my degrees). Not sure if that would apply to your situation, in this case, you may not be able use the old ECA as soon as you submit a request/application for an ECA upgrade. Lastly, you don't need your ND in any case. Your MBA fetches you your highest point possible. 1 Like |

Hello everyone, What does it mean when WES says it sent verification to my school after my transcript had being sent at first. Is it regular mail or email? I've called my school they said they haven't seen the mail... anyone experience this? I started the process since May 1st... WES is damn slow. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by tundechange: 7:16pm On Jul 17, 2016 |
greetings: Hi Sis, they sent it by both regular mail and email. I hope you got an email notification on the day it was sent to the school. Also, it will take at least 3 weeks before the regular mail gets to your school. You should follow up with the records/registrar's office in your school. |

tundechange: Oh really, 3 weeks? Not funny. I got a mail on 30th of June, you know there was holiday so I thought maybe school didn't get the email. Well,my contact says if it was sent by regular mail it's not late yet so you're correct. I'm just tired of the wait. Thanks though. 1 Like |

irondome: @irondome Its just that the transcript request for my school (UK) is an online process with no option for uploading any document. I think I will just contact the school directly and see how they can help out with that. Thank you. I appreciate the advice |
