Add the NYSC details.
revlane:
Hi, please in my profile i stated completion of degree to be April, 2011 and date of employment of my job to be July, 2012. I already have ITA and discovered i had left a gap between april 2011 - july, 2012. This was my nysc period. My question is, how do i correct this mistake? Can i still add nysc details after ITA or the gap doesn't mean anything. Thanks

Since you have changed your name officially, then your passport should be in your new name. However, you MIGHT be able to use the passport with your maiden name but you will need to include a LOE. I will advise that you should start processing a passport with your new surname in case if it is demanded during the processing of your application. Once you get it, inform IRCC of the new passport via CSE.

Try to get someone else to sign the reference letter.

Yes i have done the official change of name with the newspaper printout and all.

I was technically their boss with the exception of the manager who managed to pull a fast one on us(Doubt he will be willing to sign after the incident)

Ok. Thank you for taking time to respond

I will start the passport process.

God Bless

Can someone please direct me to the page with the break down of all the steps to take, as the first post is old and the information must have been obsolete.

Anymore please.

Start reading the thread from page [0] and walk your way through the pages. The information is not obsolete - it's as fresh as it can get.

Okay. Will do that. Hope they won't expect any letter of reference for NYSC. I did six months in the north before boko haram sent me to Abeokuta for another six months.

Good advice!! If you add NYSC as government, your application might take ages as I heard they conduct more detailed security checks for government workers.

You will be asked for reference letter if you put it under employment section. If you don't wish to provide reference letter and you are not claiming points for it, then just put it under personal history.

thanks for you usual expert advice.

I have already paid for a new exam and also for remark. fingers crossed.
The school is UCE. Something about archiving records (strange). For my school, it was an online request and took just a couple of minutes ti mail out.

Its obvious i will have to wait for new scores before i can enter the pool right?

Please what was you score when you got your first ITA? mine is currently as low as 365 with writing on 6.

dupyshoo:
Instead of retaking it, you should have just requested for remarking alone and save yourself some money. My sister's writing score was changed from 6 to 7. 99% of time (based on feedback on this thread), people get their scores upgraded.
1. I will still give the same answer: NO. My husby did not do ECA at all. In fact, our 1st ITA was without his IELTS as he had not written IELTS when we got it. So, it depends on your score. As you stated that you can get 448 without his ECA, then you are good to go.
2. Yes, I selected none but I put the his MSc and BSc details under personal history.

Which school in UK is messing up? How is he going about the transcripts? This is strange cos my UK transcripts cost me about £25 and it was dispatched less than 2 hours after I placed the order online on the Uni's website.

thanks for chiming in.

No the score is working with writing bumped up to a 7 (sorry i didn't mention). trying to cut out necessary bills and delays for now. Hence i want us to avoid paying for ECA now. Do you presume we will need it in the future?

elfmann:

With that CRS, no need to worry over spouse's ECA or IELTS. Is 448 with the 6.0W? Why calling for a remake? Waste of time!

Yeah, you need a valid IELTS score to enter the pool.

It is that low cos of the 6 in writing. You are losing about 110 points (100 under skill transferability factors and the remaining under language). Got the 1st ITA with 453.

In d future? Here or Canada? If ur Writing doesn't bump, u might ask him to do ECA or IELTS or both as ur case requires. Saving money doesn't mean delaying ur ITA.

What is the name of the immigration agent? Are they licensed immigration lawyers or agents experts with the ICCRC or a Canadian law society?

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/verify-rep.asp#law-societies

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/verify-rep.asp#law-societies

http://iccrc-crcic.info/

What is the name of the recruitment firm in Canada? Are they reputable? What is their track record? Is there any negative news about them online? Do your home work before releasing your personal details to anybody who is not part of Canadian government agencies that are bound by secrecy act to protect your details. See this article about what we are seeing in Canada;

http://business.financialpost.com/executive/management-hr/recruiters-charging-foreign-workers-in-ontario-illegal-fees-as-high-as-12000-for-jobs-that-might-not-exist-report-finds

You can send the names of the agents, recruiters and employing firm so I help verify. I am based in Ontario and can run a back check online.

Hello Profs. in the house.

I have been silently following this thread. I must say you guys are doing a beautiful selfless job.

Please I have a question. The CRS link I have studied but have failed to understand how the calculation is done.

Guys please assist me to calculate cos I need to know if I stand a chance of getting CRS that can at least scale me through, this will give me the motivation to start studying for my IELTS

I haven't written my IELTS
I have MSC
8 years (by August) in NOC 6221
I am Married with a kid
I will be 35 years by my next birthday.

My husband's certificate is ond
He is not interested in writing IELTS

1. Please what range do you think my score will be?
2. Do I have any chance of making it through express entry?
3. If yes to 2 what score my I target for IELTS
2. Do I have

What issue are you having with the CRS calculator?

Anyway, with the assumptions that you will get 8.5,8,7.5 and 7.5 in LRSW, you evaluate your MSc and no IELTS and ECA for your hubby, your CRS score should be about 424.

Hi dupyshoo, pls I just noticed something on my husband's ECA now. He graduated in 2006 but on the print out given to him by WES, it shows Year awarded was 2008. I'm thinking it must be an error from WES. Please does this contradict his claim that he graduated in 2006 or is it possible that the degree was awarded a year or two later? We've had this ECA since, I just decided to take a 2nd look at it. Is it a problem? Does he need to get in touch with WES? Thanks for always responding to all our questions.

I believe strongly that it is temporary... Any update on your ECA? I believe you will be ready for your ITA next week.

Thanks bro.

They just acknowledged receipt of the complete application this week. Processing period is now 15 working days.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 5:23pm On Mar 09, 2017
Check the year written on his certificate to confirm the actual award year.
If WES is wrong, then get them to amend it.
