Since you have changed your name officially, then your passport should be in your new name. However, you MIGHT be able to use the passport with your maiden name but you will need to include a LOE. I will advise that you should start processing a passport with your new surname in case if it is demanded during the processing of your application. Once you get it, inform IRCC of the new passport via CSE. Try to get someone else to sign the reference letter. sirmeks: |

Ehrnie: Okay. Will do that. Hope they won't expect any letter of reference for NYSC. I did six months in the north before boko haram sent me to Abeokuta for another six months. 1 Like |

Good advice!! If you add NYSC as government, your application might take ages as I heard they conduct more detailed security checks for government workers. Ehrnie: 1 Like |

You will be asked for reference letter if you put it under employment section. If you don't wish to provide reference letter and you are not claiming points for it, then just put it under personal history. revlane: 6 Likes |

thanks for you usual expert advice. I have already paid for a new exam and also for remark. fingers crossed. The school is UCE. Something about archiving records (strange). For my school, it was an online request and took just a couple of minutes ti mail out. Its obvious i will have to wait for new scores before i can enter the pool right? Please what was you score when you got your first ITA? mine is currently as low as 365 with writing on 6. dupyshoo: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Kathyjex: 3:57pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
thanks for chiming in. No the score is working with writing bumped up to a 7 (sorry i didn't mention). trying to cut out necessary bills and delays for now. Hence i want us to avoid paying for ECA now. Do you presume we will need it in the future? elfmann: |

dupyshoo: Thanks. Personal history is good for me. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 4:06pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
Yeah, you need a valid IELTS score to enter the pool. It is that low cos of the 6 in writing. You are losing about 110 points (100 under skill transferability factors and the remaining under language). Got the 1st ITA with 453. Kathyjex: |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 4:08pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
Kathyjex:In d future? Here or Canada? If ur Writing doesn't bump, u might ask him to do ECA or IELTS or both as ur case requires. Saving money doesn't mean delaying ur ITA. |

ebimarian: What is the name of the immigration agent? Are they licensed immigration lawyers or agents experts with the ICCRC or a Canadian law society? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/verify-rep.asp#law-societies http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/verify-rep.asp#law-societies http://iccrc-crcic.info/ What is the name of the recruitment firm in Canada? Are they reputable? What is their track record? Is there any negative news about them online? read from the beginning of the page 0 to get an insight of how things work. google crs calculator to determine your possible score. there qre no clairvoyants here who could possibly determine your score except you. Dalie: 2 Likes |

What issue are you having with the CRS calculator? Anyway, with the assumptions that you will get 8.5,8,7.5 and 7.5 in LRSW, you evaluate your MSc and no IELTS and ECA for your hubby, your CRS score should be about 424. Dalie: 2 Likes |

Hi dupyshoo, pls I just noticed something on my husband's ECA now. He graduated in 2006 but on the print out given to him by WES, it shows Year awarded was 2008. I'm thinking it must be an error from WES. Please does this contradict his claim that he graduated in 2006 or is it possible that the degree was awarded a year or two later? We've had this ECA since, I just decided to take a 2nd look at it. Is it a problem? Does he need to get in touch with WES? Thanks for always responding to all our questions. |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by dupyshoo: 5:23pm On Mar 09, 2017 |
Check the year written on his certificate to confirm the actual award year. If WES is wrong, then get them to amend it. Chinnie4Jesus: |

dupyshoo:. Sigh of relief!!! Thanks, I just checked and it indeed was awarded in 2008. I never knew that Year of graduation could be different from year of award. Thanks dupy... you are the very best. |

Benosky1985: Check this link for information you can study, http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.asp If you're looking for where you can find Canadian job vacancies then check indeed.ca, eluta.ca, Monster.ca and LinkedIn to name a few. But you will be better of pursuing a Permanent Residence visa which will enable you live and work in Canada. Start from the very first page of this topic. 1 Like |
