Am a HND Graduate in chemistry/Biochemistry option of science laboratory technology. am done with my NYSC, just trying to convert by HND certificate to Bsc through direct entry. although i graduated with lower credit, and i already have some specified schools in mind, such as RSUST n Unical.. what is the possibility of been admitted to 300L, and also the need for jamb regularisation. i left Rivpoly since 2013?. can someone provide answers that are helpful?.. thanks.

Good Job

Another opportunity you guys can take advantage of is to apply for Direct Entry into Foreign Universities. There are several foreign universities that are affordable and guarantees 100% admission and visa.

So i think its ok for direct entry students to consider going abroad to explore great opportunities to further their education. I can advice and give counsel to those that needs counseling on how to go about it.

God bless you and Nairaland

why not go abroad, there are several schools around the world that give HND holders direct admission to Masters degree program. you dont have to waste your time, rather go straight for Masters degree.

Thank you

i will encourage you to go abroad for Masters degree instead of going back to 300 level. there are several universities that offers direct admission to Masters degree even for HND students. you can even apply for a scholarship in the process.

INFORMATION IS POWER.

Help please!
Just finished last year from the polytechnic, Ibadan. Electrical engineering with upper credit and I look forward to doing direct entry into either unilorin or lautech. So I seriously need someone to explain, the school to choose among the two. Thanks

Unilorin is great... So is lautech. Which is a technology/science based school...

Unilorin is great. Fast academic calendar and admission is basically merit based, that is if you score well in d putme you should be atleast guaranteed like 85% admission offer. However, the competition is outrageously high and they only admit less than 10 D.E students in each department(note::: to the best of my knowledge based on 2015/2016 DE application/admission success or otherwise)

Lautech I have little knowledge on. So since I can't give what I don't have, I guess someone else would help out.

BTW::: I think when choosing a school the ff should be considered:

* Academic history/Relevance in the Job market
* Course (since some schools are known to produce the best in some specific courses)
* School fee
* Academic calendar (fast, steady or slow plus how often or seldom do they go on strike and others)
* Catchment (that is if your ex instituition is within their catchment area so as to increase your chances of admission. Although its not REALLY important but who knows, it might come in handy during admission)
* If they accept your course or your grade, your "O" level combination for the course etcetera etcetera. I heard some schools accept lower credit- majority Northern schools.

Well broderly, what year was it and how sure are you that your friend dint consult an oracle (hpe u know what I mean)...

Plus like I said earlier, most times if you score high u have higher chances of gaining admission although not totally guaranteed.... I know folks that score high atleast last year that dint gain admission, yet I also know a lot that score high and gained admission and I tell you, they are more than those that dint gain admission...
