The festival is based on the movie Mad Max and is the biggest post-apocalyptic themed festival in the world Stranded in the middle to the California desert, these festival goers look like they are trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world. And the Wasteland Weekend, which takes place every year allows lovers of the Mad Max movie franchise to see what it is really like to live in a society where civilisation is crumbling.
