The ongoing false assets declaration case by the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB)  against the Senate President, Olubukola Saraki, at the Federal Court of Appeal in Abuja, has been stalled following the death of the Presiding Judge of the Abuja Division, Justice Abubakar Abdulkadir Jega.

The case was adjourned Tuesday but the court clerk informed those who had already arrived the court room that it had been postponed for one week, to give the justices and staff of  the appellate court time to honour Justice Jega who died in the stampede in Mina, Saudi Arabia.

Justice Jega and Justice Musa Hassan Alkali were among the pilgrims who lost their lives in the stampede during the symbolic hajj ritual of stoning the devil at the Jamarat Bridge outside Makkah in Saudi Arabia
