I know most of the people that have commented so far didn't even read the whole article. Well, so far so good, a very good speech. It captured the main events in the country, Africa and the world at large. And I also love the fact that he didn't dwell too much on his trial, but also made sure the distinguished Senators understood that he is being tried because he went against the party to emerge the president of the Senate. In a way, he is trying to tell them that 'I might be the one being hounded today, but then, it might be you tomorrow'. That said, I can't wait for Buhari's ministerial list. May God help anyone who has a little blemish on that list. This Senate will literally chew them up and toss them out. 48 Likes 2 Shares |

We shall therefore commence immediately, a review of the 2015 budget and begin now to lay down the fundamental principles that would determine the 2016 budget and the philosophy of our economy in times like this Bukky, your driving economic principle so far, from what I've seen , is private diversion of public funds. 14 Likes |

A man that denied being stoned even with video evidence at people's fingertips shouldn't be taken seriously.. Even in this Address, I see lies. I can also see that the senate is yet to receive Baba's ministerial list. Baba better not disappoint us this time 31 Likes 3 Shares |

Ok As we await the list of ministerial nominees this week, I believe the presence of ministers will create the space for greater policy engagement. On this note, I want to urge you all my colleagues to ensure that what is uppermost in our minds as we begin the constitutional task of screening of ministerial nominees is the overall interest of our country, informed by the enormity and the urgency of the challenges before us. Once the list is submitted, let us ensure that we treat it with dispatch. (Great) Sharp, sharp passage for our ministers We must not be held down by unnecessary politicking. The enormity of our national challenges at this time does not give room for pettiness or politics of vendetta.(Great )..>Sharp, sharp passage for our ministers "Primarily as a Senator of the Federal Republic and as Senate President I owe it to this Senate to stand strong in the face of relentless persecution" (He knows he is going) 5 Likes |

yeah I have no doubt that Saraki will perform in his position as the president of the senate, he is a blend of modern politics coupled with a background tutelage of the old system of Nigeria politics which he got from his father... Did anybody read the part he said he will bring in e-parliament? With PMB been an old politician at the executive arm and a young man like saraki at the Senate, Nigeria is on the right path to greatness, but the speed to getting to the land of greatness will increase if there is little or no interference in the governance of this country from people like Mr Jagaban. abuse me if u can 7 Likes |

Preside till the Tribunal states otherwise..... 98.7% of Nigeria politicians ain't saint...so like someone said it is a pack of SINATORS so he is fit to preside over them...Wayo set of persons Witch hunting is part of the game...outsmart and outwit any opposition of your interest that's politics in Nigeria... Whoever supports your interest is your ally. like APC shouting and wailing change and condemning PDP when 70% of APC members were in the PDP ruling team.. And more PDP defectors for self interest will still be added to the Govt soon.... SMH when i see e-wars and people barking here and there while those 'Poly-Tricians' embezzle and enrich themselves.. Even the acclaimed 'saint' Fashola was fingered recently of super over inflating borehole project... so who among them is holy... 3 Likes 1 Share |

Interesting! He should just resign if he really is a man of integrity. I doubt he is though. Very comfortable 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom flats in conducive environs in Warri is available for rent. 3 bedroom - 21,000 naira monthly 2 bedroom - 17,000 naira monthly 2 bedroom - 13,000 naira monthly Just 1 yr upfront payment (Instead of the 2 years most landlords collect).
