Take the kid to a speech and hearing pathologist to first perform a hearing test which can determine level of hearing and whether or not hearing aids would be needed by the child. If it is determined that hearing aids would help, the child should commence treatment with a speech and language therapist to teach him or her how to pronounce words using flash cards in conjuction with using the adaptive device.
