I reckon that Buhari was only being diplomatic with a factual answer he gave at an event where the Abacha family was in attendance.

The more reason why he rejected the Kano governorship aspirations of Mohammed Abacha under the CPC in 2011.

Perhaps your lord & saviour messiah Buhari was also being diplomatic when he nominated AmaeTHIEF whose $$$$$$$$$$$$ ensured he got nominated in the APCheat convention, not so

And that diplomacy extended to granting EFCC-plagued Audu Abubakar and Timipre Sylva APCheat's governorship tickets for Kogi & Bayelsa state respectively. Not so

Keep fooling yourself while thinking you are fooling your fellow 200 million mumu citizens.

I have gone thru what Tonye Barcanister wrote concerning the Dieziani Debacle, and this does warrant the outpouring of negative emotion raised by respondent to the point the young man raised.
Tonye is stating the obvious, there are those who are not in the UK but with us here in Nigeria and thier hands was, and are in the public till, mention were made of Tinubu, Atiku, Sylva, Audu, Fashola, numerous Former Governors who stole the common patrimony of the people and are here in Nigeria but nothing is happening to them for the mere fact that they contributed to the victory of the President, look at the Issue of the HALLIBURTON SCANDAL that involves so many former military heads of state just died a natural death after the initial raking of dust by Mr President, What of the pension scandal within the Army, Police, and in the bureaucracy that has virtually turn our elders to beggars in the land and Mr President is also suppose to be on pension. Those who stole and compromise the Pension Fund are here in Nigeria not the UK get them so that we know you are fighting corruption not the noise on the pages of newspapers which is ALL MOTION AND NO MOVEMENT!!!

Look, at this point we Nigerians don't care weather its witch hunt or not, the question to ask is, did she steal or not? Let Buhari witch-hunt those that stole our yams. Let the next PDP president witch hunt all the thieves during his time. We cannot continue to wait for a president that will catch all the thieves at once.
The Halliburton case you are talking about has been in public domain for the past 10 years, what stop your GEJ from witch hunting those indicted when he was on power?

The shame is for the followership who continue to form a shield around the thieving rich while they are so eager to lynch themselves at the slightest accusation of mundane thefts.

The greatest shame is for the tribal warlords who continue to defend their sister and brother over the theft of their own commonwealth.

"Na our oyel money" they always chant.

Now UK go follow chop this money for free.

Kudos to the Brits who have attracted this unsolicited direct foreign investment from a nation wallowing in poverty and lack of portable water, shame on the dirt poor Nigerian who loves a sister that obviously prefers to reside in Europe with "our oyel money", or a brother who prefers foreign healthcare to the one he provided for his own statesmen.

Unfortunately una eye just open. Go follow Britain fight for abandoned property.

As for the OP, I read through but did not see anywhere you criticised Jonathan or PDP for letting Diezani rob this country dry?

Is that going to be your next article?

Please title it: When stealing was not corruption - The GEJ years of inventing anti-corruption technology.

I am sorry but tribalism have made many Nigerians loose the ability to reason. Just imagine the kind of fire that many of you will be spitting , imagine what will be happening if AREGBESOLA was in the PDP and not under control of TINUBU the GOD of SouthWest.

What every Nigerian should see here is a group of people attempting to form a Government that don't want to be checked, A government that cannot afford to be criticized. They wanted to install a senate president that they can control so that they can in-prison the entire Nigeria as they have done to the south-west.

Some members of the PDP, an opposition worked to ensure that this doesn't happen and helped install an independent senate president suddenly cases of corruption began to fly around. They are spitting fire and raining hailstones and all some people can think of is TINUBU IS A STRONG man.

They installed a vice president, they installed the party spokesman, they want to install the senate president and speaker of house so that even if they decide to cut our necks off tomorrow. NOBODY WILL CHALLENGE THEM and all people can think of is TINUBU BAD GAN!!

It is Impossible for Amaechi, Tinubu, Fashola etc to be corrupt and all their wealth is completely legal infact AREGBESOLA & ROCHAS are AS PURE AS GOD but AKPABIO, JONATHAN , FANI-KAYODE, WIKE, NGOZI, DEZANI should be locked up and never see the light of day.

DSS has the right to pick up any one without arrest warrant when they storm AkGH or Rivers Tribunal to pick up PDP witness but

DSS never had any right to storm the a building where it was believed that voters cards were been cloned even to seaRCH.

The naira has fall steadily since APC assumed power , yet they are doing well , Thousands have lost jobs in the last 4 months yet, APC should be criticized for nothing.

Have you heard of PROPAGANDA MACHINE? I am not calling the PDP saints but i am not stup1d enough to believe that every thing that comes from the APC is GOLD and nothing good is in the PDP.

The Lai Mohammed Propaganda machine has so much eaten up the party PDP and the reasoning part of the brain of many Nigerians.

Its Time to call A spade A spade.

DON'T SIT AND WATCH PEOPLE FORM A GOVERNMENT THAT CANNOT BE CRITICIZED OR CHALLENGED COS THEY WILL DO TO YOU AND YOUR GENERATION WHATEVER THEY PLEASE.
Its not a case of TINUBU BAD GAN, or OBASANJO na BAAAADDD GUY

TonyeBarcanista:
Let me start this piece by stating that the arrest and ongoing investigation of Mrs Alison Diezani Madueke by the United Kingdom Crime Agency is a welcome development. I shall continue to support public officers to answer to any allegation against them irrespective of political affiliation, religion or ethnic group. This article however is meant to clear the air on who is to take credit before supporters of president Buhari and APC accord the glory to Buhari.

UK Crime Agency Should Take Credit For Alison's Arrest:
The arrest of Allison was done by the UK Crime Agency acting on their own investigation, which only God know when they started. The EFCC never demanded for Alison's arrest, it was 100% UK initiative. In fact, the UK Crime Agency had to confirm that they started investigating Diezani since 2013 when Buhari was still in opposition http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/190970-we-started-investigating-alison-madueke-since-2013-uk-national-crime-agency.html

Why It Is Wrong To Credit Buhari:
The arrest of Madueke is not the first to be done by the UK government. Recall on September 16, 2005 the UK Police arrested then Governor Diepreye Alamesiegha for money laundry www.news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4253362.stm. The glory of that arrests that eventually led to his impeachment and imprisonment went to the UK and not Obasanjo's administration. The glory that went to Obasanjo was that it was his government that prosecuted him after he fled the UK- though he(Alams) was rather given a slap on the wrist. He still wanted in the UK

In May 2010, UAE authorities arrested James Ibori on the request of British Authorities after he had fled Nigeria due to being on the wanted list of the UK (2007) and Nigeria/EFCC (2010). Nevertheless, the credit went to the british authoritÍes and not President Goodluck Jonathan who had earlier ordered EFCC and Onovo-led police to arrest him. www.news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/8680569.stm

Buhari Is Not Sincere With Anti-corruption
Since coming to power Buhari has been making probe rhetoric and has never shown the will. In fact, he has been drinking and eating with alleged corrupt officials like Amaechi, Atiku, Tinubu etc. Obasanjo in his letter once dared Atiku Abubakar to travel to the USA and see if he won't be arrested. Buhari is also yet to take action over the alleged corruption of Fashola as highlighted by Governor Ambode. In fact, the only case that's on the prosecution line is that of Saraki, which we all know was precipitated by political disagreement and not really because Buhari want to fight corruption. Buhari withdrew the EFCC's N2,8billion case against Sylva and even gifted him ticket for Bayelsa governorship election. In fact, Sylva was with Buhari during the Oct 1st celebration. Another is the case of Abubakar Audu, a right-hand man of Buhari since his ANPP days who despite his corruption case was gifted the ticket for Kogi governorship poll.

I make bold to state that the british would have arrested Diezani irrespective of who is in power. It is a shame that our so-called government cannot do things themselves but rely on the UK lead. Unfortunately, the properties and monies that will be seized will be added to the treasury of the Brits and their allies.

Finally, if Buhari want to fight corruption, he should start from home and we all shall support him. There are lots of ex-Govs, Senators and other public officials that has lots of indictment and cases to answer. He can't take the glory of another country! For now, he is yet to prove his hype.

May God Bless Us All

How come the UK government is always arresting southerners? Is there no Northern or Western public officer who ever gets involved in money laundering? I have never been fond of the UK. They have always wanted to use the less educated North to suppress the South and they will fail.

The Halliburton case you are talking about has been in public domain for the past 10 years, what stop your GEJ from witch hunting those indicted when he was on power?

Your Starting line was, "look at this point we nigerians don't care" It is this type of response that has brought us to this sorry and sordid state, when you don't care or give a damn leaders take us for granted on the ground that we don't care.
One of the ground GEJ lost the election to Mr Buhari was that he was not hard on corruption and Mr buhari said i will be hard on corrupt people, what the likes of Tonye Barcanister and myself are saying is, fine we've got Dieziani in the UK, now lets concentrate and get our thieving leaders here instead of depending at all time for the UK anti-corruption unit to always bail us out, like the cases of Alameiyeseigha, Dariye, Ibori etc. Nigerians are seeing that there is really no difference between the way Mr Jonathan handle corruption and that of Mr Buhari, both of them are scared so they look for soft target, what Nigerians want to hear and see is that, the thieving members of the COAT OF MANY COLOURS COALITION are brought before the law and not the noise on the pages of newspapers.
If Mr President must know, what he needs to do is to strengthen the institutions that fight corruption and make them completely independent from the presidency and the legislature. As for the Harliburton case it shows those who really run the country. This is no Change, the coat of many colour coalition (Apc) is out for raw power there is no difference between Apc and Pdp ideologically.

No news from the APCheat members in the SINate at the time who were also collecting N27 million while real workers were earning N18,000 minimum wage that was even owed by many of those state governors who sponsored Buhari's anti-corruption change campaign. shocked

Meanwhile you did NOT provide links to your STORY about her explaining about the use of the chartered jets after March 28. I am still waiting except you admit you are a certified and confirmed HYPOCRITE.

Here's your link. You can read up the whole report which covers the whole episode. The last 8 paragraphs were her remarks after Jonathan lost the presidential elections. If only I could lay hands on just that interview alone, but I reckon it didn't receive much publicity.

Imagine she had so much explanations after GEJ's loss, but couldn't do so 1 year earlier at the house of representatives.
She even conveniently disregarded her many law suits by speaking on the matter, claiming she doesn't know whether the matter was still in court.

I also wonder why you never bothered to even mention David Mark's senate?
Maybe we all know they were utterly useless as far as pursuing any matter that was patriotic.

I just took my time reading from the first page to this point. Now I know the real reason why the OP deactivate his/her previous account. To cover the past records of his as a show of loyalty to his current political associates and stop at nothing in ridicule in present Buhari APC led FG to paint all achievements as a result of Jonathan PDP led FG administration or any other entities other than Buhari and APC.

Starting from the topic, Tonyebarcanista forgot or deliberately ignore the fact that Buhari had been traveling across the globe mainly on three agenda, security, anticorruption and investments (for employment generation and economic stability). He deliberately not disclosed the news of how Jonathan led FG protect this lady from HoR committee and how Senate was manipulated under David Mark to protect highly placed corrupt Jonathan cabinet including this lady, the scenario which they are fighting hard to continue in the 8th Senate Assembly. He forgot to disclosed how the lady find her way out of the country few weeks to Buhari swearing in and how EFCC, ICPC and judicial are crippled by Jonathan administration to prosecuted criminals and political officers.

The same person will be quick to condemned Buhari APC led go to for any economic and political crises in Nigeria without apportionany to the previous Jonathan led PDP government. Whereas Nigeria is suffering from mismanagement of her revenue during the surplus time and outright celebration of corruption where stealing from public fund rises from millions of naira to billions of naira and skyrocket to billions of dollars.

And among indicted members of APC of corruption by public opinions including the OP, the only people I believe Buhari is answerable to are Fashola and Ameachi as they are the only two who enjoy immunity during the PDP led administration. Then if PDP led administration don't find others such as Tinubu & Co tried in law court with evidence to charged them guilty, I believe it will be irrational to expect APC led government to EASILY find them guilty. Meanwhile, the PDP mantra in Rivers has yet make public indictment against Ameachi who even challenge them to publish the state account for public to see unlike the Saraki that PDP with all their might and I'll gotten wealth is protecting. on the other hand Lagos state APC are yet to indict Fashola even in faces of highly level scandals of websites and borehole project, the PDP in the state has not find it worthwhile taking the case to court and test the sincerity of the current APC led government on her anticorruption stance.

On this case of crime and public mismanagement, shall we investigate you on the mismanagement and utter manipulation executed on the first election of the federation. Did you or did you not manipulate elections and subsequently embezzle the products of the country..Now this is in my own view an international crime.
Tell me BRitain what do u have? How do u sustain your economy? Through crisis or demise of your previous subjects? So, what happens when there are limited or no crisis in those countries you colonized, what happens? Do u incite crisis upon them or tap their resources through international agreement and deals?
Are these not crimes? Now, who'll investigate you? Who will investigate the backbone of insurgency in Africa and Asia?
Shame on you Britain. Its either you acting in accordance with agreement between you and that old fool or you're again exhibiting your "longer throat" character. Go and chase over other foreign public servers from USA or Chinese in your country and see if you survive. Of course, you can only investigate nigerians due to their feebleness...That woman is an achiever, she allowed transparency in her service. A lifeless entity being the CBN gov. just on compensation should not be taken too serious.
Rubbish! Why no go and protest in the UK?
