Translation
The followers of the Gospels (the New Testament) must judge according to what God has revealed in it. Those who do not judge by the laws of God are evil doers.

This verse clearly shows that Christians(followers of new Testament) are gifted with the light the world needs including the Muslims, and we are doing our best, trying to evangelise to them about the light but they refused, thereby disobeying the command of there prophet..
What's your sincere take on this?

Your reply vis a vis the op leads me to conclude that:
1. That part of the Quran is obsolete and should be done away with immediately.(to date none has given us a link to the unaltered Injeel then where do they get clarifications from? At least you believe Allah is all knowing meaning it is 100% certain you will need clarifications!)
2. This becomes necessary since the true material referred to no longer exists.
3. Meaning you may need to establish through study, other parts of the Quran that are no longer useful due to similar issues.
4. Also provide new facilitators that you can clarify things from (or ask Allah to do so) since the initial materials(Injeel and Torah) for that purpose have now been altered.(i doubt this though since Mohammed was supposed to be the final prophet)
5. Once they are provided, then commence the alteration of the Quran showing the new adjustments!
6. Therefore:
CLAIMING THAT THE GOSPEL AND TORAH AS WE HAVE THEM ARE ALTERED IS A WAY OF INDIRECTLY SAYING THE QURAN MUST BE ALTERED ELSE REMAIN WITH A COMMAND THAT MISLEADS.(Pls correct me where i am wrong).

Those are translation, so as to understand the content.. That's not alteration but translation for effective reading

You just can't take one verse and make your conclusions based on it. Read the very next verse, Allah makes it clear for us to establish the Quran as the Criterion.


"And We have revealed to you, [O Muúammad], the Book in truth, confirming that which preceded it of the Scripture and as a criterion over it. So judge between them by what Allah has revealed and do not follow their inclinations away from what has come to you of the truth. To each of you We prescribed a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He would have made you one nation [united in religion], but [He intended] to test you in what He has given you; so race to [all that is] good. To Allah is your return all together, and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ."

There is much more emphasis on the Torah, while the past tense is used for both ("was" a guidance and light, its clearer in the Arabic). The judgment being discussed is th judgment in a court of law as made clear in the context as well as th seerah, when the Prophet (pbuh) gave full freedom of having their own courts of law for the Jewish and Christian communities. The "it" most likely refers back to the Torah, where the parable of an "eye for an eye" is emphasized in the previous verse. Basically God is rhetorically asking you'll to question why you'll have thrown the law away.

There's absolutely no problem that can arise if you properly read the text. You can collect up evidence against Islam, but please make it reasonable!

Christianity is an eye opening religion, the translators translated the Bible to different tongues so as to cover miles and if possible so as to reach everyone.
Your religion(Islam) limited the translation of Quran so as to be able to hide the truth from their followers, if you simplify Quran for easy understanding, individually you will discover the faults in it.
Don't ever compare Quran with the the Holy Bible again, compare it with other novels.. Bible is for all, we have to let all the people read and understand. That's part of the reason it is called a lifestyle..
