Was there ever a time of glory for Deltans? The state has been bedevilled by bad, corrupt and merciless leaders since it's creation! Funds have been diverted, projects abandoned, peanuts thrown at people and infrastructure left to decay! It was only Ibori who threw back a little, less than a quarter, of what he ate. Uduaghan proved to be far more greedy and, I daresay, evil minded. Okowa, so far, has not shown us any sign that we may smile in the nearest future! Yet the whole country calls us the big heart! Some say, the finger of God! I wonder which of God's fingers is pointed at Delta? Is it the one that says: Oh! This is my beloved state or the one thats rebukes us?

It is well...

@OP, if you see Lagos, Ogun or Edo States after rain, you will give Uduaghan a golden award for this streets.
Lagos, Benin and Ogun state floods will make these pictures look like desert!

People like you are the types Hitler preferred to ship to concentration camps. Very low self-esteem, no aspiration to greater heights, always wishing to remain backward because others are backward.

With all the allocation? This is not eyes friendly.
I can't see any drainage on that road at all... shocked

Who needs drainage when the elite can fly directly to and from Asaba Airport?

Where in Nigeria do the politicians put the masses first?

Buhari to come and probe Uduaghan, abi? Where is he going to get the evidence to do that? From Aso rock, heaven, or Daura? Probe and prosecution can only be successful if the state govt champions it. From the look of things, that ain't going to happen as long as the power equation in Delta state still remains in the hands of the evil cabal that are holding the state hostage.
Why am I even stressing myself? The state is already a failure.

The whole country is a failure

This is a common experience in Asaba, and it's a pity the state government is not even concerned.
Okpanam road is even worse.

The only thing that has changed in Delta state is the name of the governor. Every other thing remains the same. If you disagree take a look at his deputy, the speaker of the house and the rest legislators. They are all products of the same system holding the state down since 1999.

Delta is one state that has confused leaders who cannot come up with a single blueprint to solve the problem of development and infrastructural decay in the state! The state has been bedevilled by bad, corrupt and merciless leaders since it's creation! Funds have been diverted, projects abandoned, peanuts thrown at people and infrastructure left to decay! I hope they take a cue from Akwa-Ibom.

It is well...

Delta State is d worst statr in the country. Too bad I originated from there. All Okowa has been doing is talking.

Agreed. Even failure has scale. Delta state is 90% failure. The 10% difference is due to the 'never say die attitude' of a typical Nigerian.

Rubbish! Okowa is going to be worse! Just imagine appointing over 300 SA for a start. A Council of Advisers (corrupt & spent PDP forces) with bogus salaries, God! I can't remember when salaries of Civil Servants were delayed for two wks for the past 16yrs in Delta State. Austerity 4 all Deltans!

When are we going to hold our governors, HOA members, Local govt Chairmen responsible for their inaction. What you see in Asaba is also replicated in Warri, Ughelli, Sapele, Agbor, Effurun. No road, good drainage in an oil rich state. Do I blame/hold Jonathan or Buhari for the lack of action of my state governor?

It's not only on the governor. It's on every single citizen. Everyone should know that the first thing you construct is a drainage system, before building anything. If a drainage system doesn't exist, you don't build. If you build you risk calamity. I'm not making this up, it's standard for every normal society. Key word here being normal.
