I am a big fan of Amaechi. This is not because he defied Jonathan but because he displayed uncharacteristic bravery, against overwhelming force, Nigerian politicians are not known for. Overall, he was an effective Governor also. I think he will be a good Minister. He will not be afraid to deliver results especially now he is backed the equally uncompromising Buhari. Whether folks agree or not, the likes of Ameachi are needed in Nigerian politics of today. Everything is not about pen pushers and weak technocrats like Aganga and Allison-Madueke who have 'loaded' CV's but are horrid and highly ineffective leaders. We all have to remember that Nigerians voted for Buhari because of their belief he will always do the right thing regardless of whose Ox is gored. We have to allow Buhari do same also. I.e choose those he feels have the character and skillset to help him succeed as President regardless of whose Ox is gored. Ameachi is in this category.

You've said it all. Apparently these APC clowns still don't know how much their hero Amaechi is detested in Rivers state, even by HIS OWN KINSMEN. They don't know the amount of curses rained on the man. When APC lost the gubernatorial elections in Rivers, celebrations broke out in the State civil service (beside State Govt House oh). Till date, Amaechi is seen as a traitor/back stabber by the common man on the streets in every SS state. Yet someone from the SW wants to tell us that we rejoice with Amaechi's appointment.
