I took a guy on a trip and he made an online transfer of the money to my account. Same guy asked me to deliver a package and would transfer money for that when I deliver. I had to text him the following day before I could get my money, he even shortchanged me by #100. At least he paid.

Second guy, with his babe. He made a transfer(obviously fake). He told me I will still get the alert because I didn't get it when he did his wonder transfer. I didn't get it, texted him in the morning too but he still didn't budge. I just reported to Uber and they promise to pay me.

What I did today and will continue to do. Rider said he'll transfer to me. I told him, "sir, I have a problem with my bank account, I can only take cash". He was surprised, he said he has never paid cash for Uber before. I just told him to select an online payment option in his uber account instead of the cash option, then he said he can't put his card details online. In my mind I said "so you no wan put card details online and you not fit carry cash, who you dey deceive".
The guy and his friends just find my money sharply.

Unless the rider bolt away like someone had earlier said here, please tell them you have a problem with your account if they say they would transfer. Or better still, carry them to the nearest ATM machine without ending the trip, let them pay for that too.

It is so annoying that these people will not tell you before starting the trip, only for them to surprise you with transfer when they get to their destination.

Drivers are getting wiser too, riders should not rule over us. Its ride sharing, not taxi, not personal driver.

I can't put a car worth over a million naira on the road and someone who will pay maximum of 20k will now be doing like they bought the car for me. If they are pissed, let em buy a car too and get personal driver, simple!

You're lucky you did not mention you are an Uber driver, dem for chop you mugu, you're smart indeed, also thank God the rider was calm self to follow ur flow. I remember my early days of uber driving, I followed one way on Ikeja along,
dem vultures rush me from left right center. I was calm and answered dem calmly until my stupid rider started shouting that he was late and if I didn't know that was one way, na there confusion enter my body, how stupid some people can be, anyway I paid sha.

You said "he" undecided
Guy casting guy. Lets dig a 6ft pit, he needs it angry

Which area the vio people stop you
BAZ001:

So VIO stopped me today and rider was sitting directly behind me not on owners corner.
The officer parked me and started the checks.
I was Lil shaky cos I've read about LSDRI here on the thread.
Fortunately or unfortunately the rider came to join us who happens to be a corper and the oga saw him
He called the officer checking us to allow us go because we are corpers
Fortunately - I was let go
Unfortunately - I still don't know if he would have asked me for lsdri (since I drive my own car but rider was at the back)

Abeg which one be Hackney permit ?

It takes 24hours before the system will recognise you have done the 15 trips. Uber promises to refund last week but they didn't. I did my 15th trip on Tuesday morning and switched to taxify when they charged my 16th trip. Had to wait for 24hrs before 0% service fee started.

well as am completing 10 trips they notify me that I need just 5 more to go... and d secs I completes d 15th trip I usually get an instant message dat am good to go on 25% commission.

guess U need to update app

How do you politely tell a rider that they need bodyspray, I picked a young lady this morning and the body odour almost killed me and unfortunately for me she sat in front seat. Please share if you have any any experience.

these days they dont even announce they are paying via transfer.... they just ask ur acc number at destination...
I dont even have a problem with dat, my gtb app and email alert got me covered anytime. Just do the transfer, announce my name that displayed, show me "successful", i'll open my app and email and refresh till i get it then you can get out.... i worry less on uber however.
Nb: i dont rely on text alert, i even disabled mine.

Please read at least 200pages backward before trying this investment.

Thanks for your feedback Gazzuz.

I actually searched like 10 pages back and saw nothing.

The deal is i am getting the Hyundai Grand i10 at about 25% of its value via a legit arrangement. - So its almost an offer i cant refuse.

Do you still think its a No go area? Plus i know you deal with Hyundai cars, do you mind telling me what your concerns are?

If you allow urself to be scammed you will be scammed. In this work delivery of items is inenvitable but it depends on ur approach to it. I have done over 200 deliveries and they were done with no issues. This ehailing work has gone beyond gentleman approach. Personally I don't do any delivery stuff that is not on a card trip. Secondly, I should be able to see and as well vet what am been asked to deliver. And if it must be cash then what am delivering must be something worth it that is the monetary value should exceed the ride fare. A case in point is this, two weeks ago I got a request by 10.30pm around CMD road to deliver two sets of new human hair to one babe at Abule Ijesha. Got to delivery point babe said shes not around that I should hand it over to a friend and send my acc details so that she will do me a transfer. I told her she isnt serious and I went with the items. Na so I carry the hair go house. Early morning next day, she called for it and I billed her 4k to bring it to her + 2k being the trip fare. Be wise in this work or else you keep telling ur family stories.
Wow, wise decision, boss. I learned a lot from this
