dru23: Self-driving cars are even more reason why Nigerians would abandon Uber. This thread is dedicated to people whose job is predicated on self-driving cars not working in Nigeria. Before the technology becomes mainstream, it would probably take 50 years. 1 Like |

jesusson2020: Job well done bro .. Keep it up and don't quit or stop. Just a little motivation.. Mark Cuban the billionaire that owns the Dallas NBA team Dallas . He stated that when he started his company, he didn't take vacations for years.. He was working 16 hrs a day.. The guy that owns Telsa sleeps and eats in his office.. This guy works like he is broke .. So just stay focus, you will make mistakes along the way. It is learning process . This is a Marathon race, it's a process 3 Likes |

darmilolah: If you going to go on strike, you will let me know. So that you can come and park my car for me .. .. If any of my drivers want go on strike, I will tell to come and park my car ... you can strike on your own time... plus I have tracking system that I check every now and than .. If I see that the car is sitting too long in one position, na to call driver, funny enough yesterday it happen to one of my cars .. The driver was at the same spot for hours.. So I called the driver, that how far why are u still at so and so place for hours without moving.. The driver stated that she has moved from that place long time ago .. So it was the tracking network that had issues.. We had to call the company to look into it 4 Likes |

Do all those subtractions then bring out your final digits. Your trip is showing 29 trips that's a good number of fuel must have been used. Ride sharing app would be pointless if there are no drivers to pick you up. Therefore, 90% of the user experience depends on the driver. I have a solution: Use uber and Taxify app to get your clients, tell them you are charging off the app, if they agree TO YOUR TERMS you bill them and THEY cancel the ride. If they don't agree you still ask THEM to cancel the ride while you look for another offer. If that language becomes a general language trust me they will be forced to use your off the app services. I don't just start my car for N375 that uber collects from a short ride. I politely ask you your destination and bill you which 80% says No. Am ok with the 20% for the day it still keeps my car in good shape for a longer lifespan. Am thinking of getting a whatsapp platform we try as much as possible to get a lot of drivers on that platform to think of the way forward. I know the issue will be on people who are paying weekly 35-40k how will they meet up with such 20% don't worry, there's always a way out of every predicament. I need reasonable opinions please. |

classicdonsimon: Oga, 35k to you is nothing, to me is something. Maintenance is done by owner. You do the subtraction with ur brain, then know the final balance. Why all this manipulation, I should stop working and save the car? Is been online 12hours a day meaning I'm killing the car? When you mentioned karma, how does it relate to me doing my job, pls stop been stupid. 4 Likes |

since the new company(indriver, am sure most of u guys now know them). when it was mention an MPR meeting i attended, i knew something was brewing, i started looking at wht i can get on this sector from the words of the players in them, someone directed me to read this page, am very sure the company hav done their due diligence(survey). it is very possible for any company to either beat uber or killed by uber(any which way). in nigeria, as a case study, what is needed are 1.political backing(nobody will tell u this), trust me u just need to see the names of the promoter of mtn(their top individual shareholders) and budwizer to mention few. 2.open cheque for marketing. u need to see the values Etisalat (then) use to break into the market(X3M guys made serious money and they delivered). mtn marketing cheque book is far higher than alot of states total IGR except lagos, 3.weakness of competitions, wht i saw in tht meeting is interesting, it is serious demand and supply affecting d price of each pick ups, total freedom for driver and raiders. 0% commission is just for 6-7months,their commission is around 7-9%. this page is interesting, alot of people read this page for different reason, i just focus on the info i need and disregard insultive and abusive comments. you guys are all hardworking and tht is the truth. trust me alot of guys will be given a chance for referral commission(this might just be for just 1 year, but the standard will be high). it is very possible to beat uber(there are some billionaires tht missed uber and taxify and wont miss this) and it is very possible for uber to kill it(the dstv & hitv story, if u know, u know) dru23: 1 Like

Dovehorizon: That is only way uber can leave Nigeria.. But funny enough correct me if am wrong.. Nigeria is not uber main African market o .. I think South Africa and some other African countries generate more money for uber than Lagos.. So if the government decides to kick uber out ,it will not hurt them as much ..the lagos market is not worth uber fighting over .. Now if you are talking on a normal playing ground ,your boy Dangote no get chance.. There is levels to this sh * t bro ... 1 Like |

jesusson2020: I believe you went to school. Profit is not counted from all the whole Money you made, subtract expenses, what you have left is your profit. Don't post 35k and open your mouth widely to say it's OK. Is that your profit? When you must have removed fuel and other miscellaneous I am pretty sure that cash won't be above 10k. When I say karma I meant you should use other people's property well so your own won't be used ruggedly. 12 hours a day? WTF? assuming your day starts by 6 you have 24-6 = 18hrs for a day. It means the engine have been on from 6am to 6pm without going off only to make 10k my brother. Excess Stress reduces your lifespan like wise that of the car. So if you have to stress yourself let the pay worth it. Your kind of people are the ones giving car owners hopes that 35k a week is achievable. Forget about being stupid I don't want to respond to that, but I just want to give you small sense if you go free listen. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Why is this your headache bro. The owner of the car is not complaining and I don't know why it bother you. The guy posted his earning from his dashboard or do you expect him to start doing the mathematics just to convince you that he's okay with job. He as his target and he's working toward that. If he stays 12hrs online in a day, does that means he's driving in all the hours? Or do you turn your app off when you're waiting for rides. You guys should let Jesusson be for Christ sake abi na by for make una do uber ni. (If e no good for you blood quit) classicdonsimon: 4 Likes |

BAZ001: How many of them will follow through with the strike? Left to me in my opinion, drivers should switch over to home grown app like Ogataxi . That is even better, but unfortunately enough we don't patronise our own local company.. So it gets to the point that complaining will not solve anything... The same way I tell my friends in USA that complain about uber.. I just tell them to quit too .. So enough people quit, maybe uber will sit tight.. But if people are not quiting, it means that uber is doing something rite. |

dru23:Oga don't derail his point. He complained about uber still collecting one naira out of four naira we make, despite the fares being ridiculously low. Don't forget, their contribution is just the platform. You talked about uber packing up; well, if they do, you and me know it can only be good for the economy. Bolt and other local coys like the oga taxi that you mentioned, intercab, gidicab, etc will take over, thereby boosting the economy. Don't forget that the Nigerian population is bringing the passengers; not uber. Quit that slave mentality. Bolt has more riders than Uber, and Uber is cheaper than Bolt (speaking from experience. Why then is uber worth worshipping? Why won't we patronise a good local product? Are we not patronising Bölt, dangote cement, Akara on the street, Nkwobi, etc? I wonder why you are so quick to dismiss drivers' views, when you've never driven on the platform. Stay calm, and rent out cars. Driver's world is entirely different from yours. 7 Likes |
